As an Old School Alpha, you are speaking the truth. You got to do the research of the Org you are interested in. You have to establish relationships with the members of the org u like to pursue. Gotta put in the work not only on a undergrad Chapter level but on alumni chapter level. I agree with the t-shirt wearers. We have enough of those already. As DOP on a alumni level, u got to be selective of who u want in your chapter of your org that is going to do the work and answer the call when needed. Much respect to the Que for his honest perspective and insight about joining D9 Orgs. Continue ur success with these videos. Knowledge is power.

Make sure as a part of your research that everyone googles the ritual book of these organizations. Don’t go forwards without doing this. You will see the necessities of bowing to an altar in a dark room and saying pledges and making a covenant with the enemy. Yep, these orbs are evil. Don’t be fooled by the strolling or parties of community service in the name of their organization.

In my case, I started showing up to different KAΨ events on and off campus undergrad or grad it didn’t matter. I did this for months just letting them see my face and making small talk here and there. It got to the point where some bruhz stepped to ME wanting to know my story. Next thing I knew I was invited to an interest meeting later that spring I had my letters.

A Greek organization involves a lot of people. Despite the image they try to present, they do not all like each other. If you are joining expecting that becoming a member means you now have a lot of new family members, be aware that not all of new family members like each other, and not all of them are going to like you. It's like any other social setting: develop friendships with those who are worth your time, and avoid those who are just trifling and petty. If they can't be respectful towards you and they can't honor the vows they took at their own intake ceremony about brotherhood/sisterhood just because you didn't let them beat on you, then THEY are the ones with a problem because THEY are choosing to dishonor their own vows. There are plenty of other people in that organization with whom you can fellowship; the trifling ones are a waste of your time.

Thanks for this! I have no lineage in any Greek organization but I know a lot of girls and guys on all the lines at my school since we were freshman. I wasn’t sure how to inquire about joining one and wasn’t sure if coming right out at a member saying I want to join was the appropriate approach; I didn’t want to break any rules lol. To add, with COVID everything has changed so much; I honestly don’t even know how they’re going about creating new lines this year. Nevertheless, it’s not like I have any time to spare since I am in fact a senior; I really don’t want to miss out on this. After watching your video though, I think I might know how to best start this process now!

@j.o.62712 жыл бұрын
This is an OWT bruh. #certified Only thing I'll add is: be about something before the organization. If you want to be a worthwhile member of the the D9, you should be a part of some campus organization, business group, ministry or something. People think they can just turn on the ability to be about fellowship or community service but you can't. You'll join then be akward and not get out if it what you can. While you wait to join, participate in something on campus

@@lastmanstanding0050 i believe it depends on what district you are in. I’m more that certain that grad chapters in the 6th and 7th are bringing bringing grad members in right. As an undergrad, if I had a long night, I could sleep in, maybe miss a class or two. I could literally sleep most of the day!! But as a grad chapter who actually going through the process, after a long night, they are going to work. Lol some spend the same amount of time together as the undergrad, but they have to maintain a career. Again, I think it depends on location. RQQ
@lastmanstanding00504 жыл бұрын
@@MrRobinson1911 If you mean "every process is not the same" and intend to imply that challenges differ depending on your station, then I hear you. Case in point, your comment about sleeping in. I have met a few Bruhs who have had objectively thorough processes who were able to sleep in when on line. Others, like me, had objectively thorough processes and never got to sleep in. From am breakfast runs to trying to navigate the Bruhs on the yard, I did not get more than four contiguous hours of sleep until I crossed. Still, my process was not necessarily "better" or "more right" than those who were able to sleep in once in a while.
@MrRobinson19114 жыл бұрын
@@lastmanstanding0050 I can agree with the above statement. 4 hours of sleep is sleep deprivation at its finest btw!

And another thing. DO NOT let people haze you. If somebody needs to haze you before they can be your friend, then you do not need them as your friend. Once you have joined, there's nothing they can do to erase the fact that you are, in fact, a member of their group whether they like it or not. People will tell you all kinds of things about what you supposedly have to do in order to join. Much if it will be untrue. They just are hoping to get to do to you what somebody else did to them. By the time you seriously pursue membership, the dean of student affairs at your college will have already spelled out what is and isn't permitted iin the pledge process according to college campus regulations. If that underground hazing stuff some people want to do was truly a legitimate requirement for membership, they wouldn't do it in secret. They'd do it out in the open, in front of the dean. You can easily cross over and become a member and refuse to take part in hazing. And if somebody wants to act a fool and not call you brother/sister because they didn't get to haze you, then look past them, and say, "Next." There are thousands and thousands of people in that organization; you don't need that particular person's friendship. There will be plenty of other people in the organization with whom you can associate, both during undergrad and when you transition to grad chapter membership, should you choose to remain active.

What are your thoughts on people joining senior year?
@Goatsuniversity3 жыл бұрын
If you do, don’t join to run a yard, join to join a graduate chapter when your done, because if you don’t, you do all that extra work for just one semester or not even one at all just to wear letters. Sounds like a waste of time. Get active in a graduate chapter

Hey man i’m a upcoming highschool junior and i’ve always wanted to join a Greek Organization since i was a freshman i’ve been doing research on the specific one i would like to join but i’m also an athlete. Do you think it’s best to try an join a Organization while also trying to attend college for sports ?
@Goatsuniversity2 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen a bunch of people do that ! It’s not easy, but it’s capable depending on your work ethic ! You got it though, best of luck to your endeavors and good luck to you !!
@quasimoto4912 жыл бұрын
Please remember: you attend college for an education, but sports is your vehicle. If you are on a sports scholarship, your second priority is probably that sport. Can you do all three? Yes, you can, but don't forget your ultimate goal. You're going to ride that degree for the rest of your life. Your life in sports may end at graduation. Membership in the organization that allows you in, like your degree, will be life long. Good luck.

Hey.. Your video is really nice and was hoping I could get a genuine opinion on this - I am an international graduate student who is completely new to Greek Life. I attended the callouts today and all the Frat boys were pitching their clubs to me, but the Alpha one stood out the most for me. Now my program is for 10 months and although GPA wouldn't be a problem, since my program is so short + I think I was the only graduate student who went to the callouts, is it worth joining Greek Life? Thanks!
@equallyyoked1 Жыл бұрын
Research their ritual book and learn what you have to bow down to on initiation night. There is nothing holy and acceptable unto The Lord Jesus concerning these groups. Look up why I left Greek life. The truth is told in those videos. There organizations are withccraft based.
@TheIronhideChronicles Жыл бұрын
