As a Nurse graduated from a nursing school in Canada or the United States, starting off with your first real hospital job working on a unit with patients at the bedside can make many people nervous. I didn't know what kind of questions would be asked - would they be more technical? scenario based? more focused on ethics or nursing skills? So after I went through a bunch of these interviews, I thought I should share my experiences so those nursing students and new grads who are in this spot after me can be a bit more prepared and know what kind of questions to expect.
Please don't use the answers to memorize, but rather customize them to your own experiences. Bring in your real life examples from past placements, consolidation, internships or externships, jobs as PSWs or otherwise.
