Fun fact: there was actually a real-life case of an innocent man who was charged with murder, who was in fact at a Dodgers' game at the time the crime was committed. What saved him was the fact that the show Curb Your Enthusiasm happened to be filming at the game at the time, and one of the shots from the show's extra footage shows him in the background. Without that, he may have been sent to death row.
@6thwilbury23319 ай бұрын
Oops, posted above before I saw this post. Indeed, I thought that's where this video was going when he mentioned the Dodger game, only instead of an episode of Curb, it was an episode of Dhar Mann. And yes, several Dhar Mann videos have gone that meta in which characters acknowledge the existence of Dhar Mann videos.
@LizH2675 ай бұрын
Yes I remember that story as well and watched the documentary. I believe that in the real story, the charges were just dropped and did not go to trial. Also, I have heard stories before where the prosecutors have said things like "I can tell he's guilty just by looking at him" so it does happen
@angiadcock81964 ай бұрын
Yes. I was thinking about this case too. Except as usual Dhar Man is completely incompetent at writing because in the real life case it made sense that they needed the footage because the man lived in Los Angeles and the crime was committed there. So just him being in the city wasn’t enough to alibi him he had to prove he was at the game physically sitting in that seat. Whereas here his alibi was he was in a whole ass other city and there are many ways to prove that you were traveling at the time of the crime other than accidental tv footage.

Did you know that he gives all his money to the homeless. Who could ever not like him, all he does is spread love and joy to the world!" That type of stuff, and as I'm sure you know, I am in absolutely no way exaggerating. it's all so gross. There's a reason his videos target kids, they're easier to BS and fool than grown adults. Okay, but surely there's a way to conjure up a court case that's interesting enough for TV, right? By "realistic", I don't mean your average, everyday case, but one that could generate headlines but could plausibly happen. And of course you would cut out all the boring parts that aren't strictly necessary and compress the events into whatever length is appropriate. By "as accurate as possible", I don't mean literally as realistic as humanly possible to everyday life, I mean one that doesn't violate established courtroom laws and procedures without acknowledging the unusualness and making it part of the story, that kind of idea.

true fact, It's not too late to come to Jesus and get saved. in His great power He had salvation planned for us before He created all things. God came as Jesus in the flesh to go and pay our sin debt on the cross, He sufferd for us, He was beaten, cursed at, mocked at, and Insulted it! He took our punishment our sins to the cross, He had no sin in Him for He was sinless. He was treated like a criminal, He could've called His Holy angels down to get them but in His mercy He didn't. His love for us kept Him there on the cross. if He didn't go to the cross for us then we all would be in hell, only true love would that and that true love is Jesus. Jesus died and paid our sin debt in full ( Isaiah 53:7, John 19:30). He paved the only way that we can be saved which is by and through Him alone ( John 14:6). then God the Father rose Jesus on the third day with glory and power and triumph and He ( in His Omnipotence) conquered hell and sin and death and even broke down the wall that separated us from Him so we can come to Him and be saved and have a relationship with Him. believe in God and repent of your sins and God will forgive of all your sins and He will cleanse you of your sins your unrighteousness and past and then He will make you born again by His Holy Spirit ( John 3:3-18). God bless

They are all over Facebook as well. All the scripts are super unrealistic, they're basically just fairytales for grownups. Simplified morality tales and stereotyped characters. I have seen a few here and there when I was scrolling around.

This is legit from a Documentary on Netflix, how this guy was at a baseball game while a crime happened near by & they so happened to be filming an episode of Seinfeld or something & they actually caught him on camera & it proved he wasn’t guilty. That was a Better Call Saul lawyer & I loved it. The logic here… Seeing how flustered Devin gets is so amazing to watch. Everyone makes fun of this dudes videos, but somehow watching Devin freak out to this extent just makes me laugh. They BROKE him in 30 seconds- I love it & totally here for it. The fact he just gave up at the end & was like “You know what? Whatever, let’s just go with it at this point” has me dying.

If you were at a Dodgers game in LA, wouldn't that be the easiest thing to prove? There must be records, maybe tickets and plenty of witnesses? The lawyer was like "uh uh no we got nothing" 😂

Indeed not to mention the stadium is going to have security and CCTV and all that stuff. They pretty much have to have both to protect their revenue and of course they host large public events which are clearly a potentially high profile target for any crackpot that wants to make a statement too so you need to be on the lookout for suspicious people attempting to smuggle in arms or whatever.

Better question: why would he even be a suspect in the first place? This would have stopped at the level of the basic police investigation. The cops would have found out he wasn't in town, and removed him from the list of suspects.

@@justasentientmclarenp1879 I mean, I chalk that up to Dhar Mann just not knowing how mandatory maximum sentencing works/that it exists. Or that he wanted to drive the point of "this unjust" home with a sledgehammer. As a total aside, does anyone else feel like all his videos would work better as Saturday-morning, over-the-top cartoons? Dhar Mann could have had a career at Warner Bros, making Looney Tunes sketches, I swear. Yosemite Sam as the prosecutor, Porky Pig as the defense lawyer, maybe Bugs Bunny as the judge...it could totally work.

The Dodgers game alibi was a real story. A man's lawyer reviewed hundreds of hours of TV and security footage to prove someone was at Doger Stadium. Idk if this was based on that or not, but it really happened
@magimerlyn95963 жыл бұрын
I feel like that’s one of the easiest alibis to prove, because most tickets have a seat number and most stadiums have security cameras watching all the seats. Find the seat number, ask for the security footage for that seat for that game, show that the defendant is in the seat at that game.
