I am ignorant of the actual history of why the Electoral College was adopted into the Constitution, but I can understand why the founders might have done it. The Presidential/VP ticket is the only nationwide race. Of the 13 original colonies there was significant disparity in the population numbers. Those colonies with low population numbers felt that they would basically have no voice in straight democratic elections, always being out-voted by the larger northern colonies. Hence, to get everyone to sign onto the Constitution, the Electoral College was devised. I call it the population equalizer. And I agree with it. Now the population disparity is mostly between urban(blue) vs rural(red), with the purple suburban areas being battleground areas.

While the last scene of the direct examination is great from a legal perspective, I can't help but gush over it from a writing perspective as well. The entire movie, she is desperately trying to help her boyfriend, she wants him to succeed, and is giving him all the help she can provide, but she simply isn't capable of it. Even the pictures she takes are done "incorrectly" and her constant badgering and asking him what she can do to help gets on his already worn out nerves. Then at the end, he realized that the pictures he berated her for taking badly, shows the perfect bit of evidence he needed to win the case, and even though she is still angry at him he calls for her expert testimony. You can watch the transformation of her attitude the moment she realizes what he wants her to see and she is back on his team, providing the support she has been anxious to give the entire movie and ecstatic that he is relying on her. It is such a beautiful character scene.

It's not that I agree with abortion laws I actually do agree with them for personal reasons but that's not the reason. My argument is that abortion can't be legal as all women's rights can't be legal. It's not just an argument to the Bill of Rights as you say. Also an argument to common law which does not grant women personhood to begin with anyone who is human by biology who is of the female gender. Any rights whatsoever. I literally mean gender and sex interchangeably here because I'm not going to get into that right now. But it never gives them any rights to begin with. Nor does it grant them personhood. I'm not saying that I agree that women are not people I'm saying that legally they were never people to begin with. The other thing is that by sheer crac but the logical deduction that you know of as a lawyer. You have to argue that they can't have it because otherwise I George the third that's my name and I am a direct line to King George III when do the ironic thing where if I were to hold power I could or even now I could simply just say I feel that I should be absolute King dictator and monarchroll this country with an iron fist and a knowledge of lunacy and nonsensical nest humor. Make people do ridiculous s***that's for my own sick amusement. Now you might say that that's a far stretch but the same thing is here. Just because I feel I have the right to be king does not give me the right to be king. Any more than being related to the king that tried to enslave the colonists or tried to force the college to do whatever he wanted to do. None of that gives me the right or do I have the right to enforce any law that is not that is not backed by other initial laws that we govern our country we can't just make laws out of nowhere we can't just make laws for no reason we can't just make constitutional amendments wherever we want or wherever we feel like it otherwise I just have the right I feel that I have the right to be absolute King dictator in monarch I should be able to do whatever the f*** I want and everyone else you have to file before me and everyone else you have to relinquish their rights so that I can just do whatever the hell I want. You see you can't just make laws just to do it there has to be a formal process
@georgekaknes
@georgekaknes Күн бұрын
Owen also that process has to be made off of laws prior to it. Otherwise you have no legal standing to make those laws. Even if you have right to personal belongings and personal things. Women never had that right it only extends to even down to the how it's worded his not wants does it ever say in any of the laws governing this country does it ever say her right. So yes if a woman is told by her husband and is given priority for medical reasons where she at her life is in danger and the husband gives the okay and her father gives the okay not her mother just her father and the judge who is a man with an all-male things gifts are the right then yes theoretically a woman has a right to abortion but then again that's the only way a woman has a right to anything just looking at the law again I'm not saying it's right I'm just saying that's the way the laws worded we must have hold the laws at all and we cannot have democracy without upholding the rule of law.
@georgekaknes
@georgekaknes Күн бұрын
Again it does not have to be just the Bill of Rights but the reality is it's not held by any of our founding documents at all we're not just talking about the Bill of Rights were talking about even the common law support that or any women's rights forget women's rights to an abortion they don't have any rights at all if we're to follow the laws of the way they're supposed to be. And I'm not saying that as a woman hater I'm literally saying that as a person whose name is King George III that is my name my name is George the third if I I am a direct line to King George III himself through Lord Byron who is my great-great-grandfather that means King George III is my great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather hi George III would therefore have the right to if I had enough people backing me to make a constitutional amendment that declares me absolute monarch dictator and King.because apparently the abortion people think that because you feel a certain way that that gives you the right to write laws regardless of how they're actually written that you can just make a law or an amendment whenever you want to which you cannot do that is illegal. And if and if you say well my feelings matter well I feel I should be absolute dictator King and monarch and should rule with an iron fist. See it doesn't make sense democracy has to be uphold by the rule of law. And therefore laws are there for limited by sheer logical deduction. In such a manner you never write a law unless it's based on previous law especially common law. And even common law disagrees with a woman's personhood. There is no part of it that says a man who is of African descent or a man who's of native American descent has no rights. There's no law that says that but there is a law that says all women in this country and really anywhere have no rights and and if you disagree with me well then I wanted to declare my constitutional right to be absolute King dictator and absolute monarch rule this country with an iron fist burn all copies of the Constitution and declare everyone who dares to oppose me an enemy of the State and force them to wear a purple hat on Tuesdays and Sundays and report directly to jail where they will receive death by a million paper cuts after after being tickle tortured upside down with a feather

You're forgetting to add the fact that women were never included in the Constitution to begin with. In fact it never States in any of the founding documents that women have. It says it says all men are created equal. Distinctly. You can make the argument that black men are just as equal as white men but you can't say women are equal as men legally under the Constitution. So not only do women not have the right to an abortion if you're going to follow the Constitution to its teeth they don't have any rights at all. There is the 14th the amendment to the Constitution but it's in the direct opposition to the Constitution itself. So if women have the right to an abortion or really any rights at all. George Byron Kaknes III have the right to say if I were to ever take office as any political person would under the same logic. The ability to create a constitutional amendment that gives me the right to be absolute dictator King and monarch of the of the this great nation. To enforce laws with no impunity or really anyone standing in my way to say what I can do. List of course I obviously can't docan't do for the exact same reasons that women cannot have an abortion or really have any right. You can't just make a constitutional amendment out of nowhere you have to make a constitutional argument and the Bill of Rights and other earlier works such as the inalienable rights life liberty and the pursuit of happiness are also in that argument so you have to be able to make those are. No life comes before Liberty because you can't have Liberty if you don't have life Liberty comes before pursuit of happiness cuz you can't have a pursuit of happiness if you don't have. So the argument it's either the woman's Liberty or the baby's life while life comes before Liberty so the woman's automatically drop. There's no argument you can make that a woman has the right to an abortion also no argument you can make that says that a woman has has any rights whatsoever to make any decision especially if she has no husband. I'm not saying this to be pig-headed and I know it sounds that way I'm just saying that there are no laws that protect women that are actually sound constitutional law common law does not protect women as it was never meant to protect women in the first place. The laws are not meant to protect women they're meant to protect men and only men.
@georgekaknes
@georgekaknes Күн бұрын
What is the problem your legal argument Mr legal eagle you never once says her in the Bill of Rights and never once says her at all in any of the founding documents it always says his. Those laws to personal property and everything only apply to men if you read the document correctly. If it never says her then women don't have rights. Men who identify as women who are renouncing their manhood are also not men by their own definitions and therefore by taking up the right to be a transgender woman have renounced their rights entirely. Women don't get rights how does the law what is how this country was founded that's the way it works
@georgekaknes
@georgekaknes Күн бұрын
Can the 14th amendment is not an original amendment of the Bill of Rights. So again the whole logic is struck down when you realize that there are only 10 amendments that actually matter when you're trying to make constitutional. Constitutional amendments logically by the very nature of this kind of thing have to deal with the first ten amendments of the Bill of Rights. 14th amendment holds no root outside of men again it says his rights all the way through. If you get to the point where you're having to argue that black people cannot marry white people. Spell a black man can marry a white woman because he's a man. White man can marry a black woman because he's a man. A black woman cannot marry a white woman because there's no man. The reality is the way it's worded. You never once says her it says him or his. I'm only man who identify as men have any rights in this country by the very wordage being used. That matters if you're a legal eagle you have to remember that that matters definitions and wording matters.
@georgekaknes
@georgekaknes Күн бұрын
The problem with the statement that the the abortions laws are relatively recent is because abortion never existed until recent. That's incorrect that's incorrect logic. So there is no religious grounds for this it's simply a legal one. First of all if you were to take the Constitution seriously for the first time Bill of Rights but you have to base everything off of that you cannot make constitutional amendments out of nowhere. 14th amendment is not based off of anything in the Bill of Rights it's not billions of anything in our founding documents. Also the the it's the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness so basically life Trump's Liberty in that order. Secondly women don't have any rights I can't say it's just a mess there is no there is no guarantee that women have any rights in this country it is not guaranteed by anything until the 14th amendment which is based off of no other part of our laws. On top of that there's no medical framework for it outside of when a woman is going to die from it which is still very rare these days and was when that law was made.there's literally no legal framework that you can use to make that. Again if you make abortion or really any woman's rights legal under and ratified under the constitutional amendment that you have to make to do. Then what stops me from just declaring myself King and ruling everyone with an iron fist. Because I could just get a bunch of people that agree with me to get a constitutional amendment to make me absolutely will learn monarch with absolutely no checks and balances.Again you can't just make no matter what your moral reasons even if they're really good you can't make any kind of constitutional amendment out of thin air like that.
@georgekaknes
@georgekaknes Күн бұрын
Okay so if we're going to say that babies that are in the womb aren't aren't human beings even though what else are they going to turn into. Then what I'm going to do once I declare myself King. Because again this means that we can make constitutional amendments with no legal framework prior to it I'm going to start making the the legal framework that only I am human and everyone else has to do what I say only I have life liberty and pursuit of happiness and everyone else has to suck it.

So perhaps my understanding of this is wrong, but I was under the impression this was NOT the copying of any code by Google, but copying of the API. Oracle owns the rights to Java, and anyone who wants to create Java applications uses the Java API to interface with any functionality Java provides for applications to use. However this goes both ways.. Anyone can write their own implementation of the API and if they do it correctly in theory they can run any Java app on their own system without Oracle's involvement. This is sort of what Google did (though it was for Android apps written in Java and wasn't intended for just any Java app). So I am not sure I would use the word "copy" though maybe I missed some aspect of it. Maybe Oracle was assuming Google copied code rather than performing legal black box reverse engineering. At any rate, no matter which side of the API you're on, you can write code to integrate with some system that sits on the other side of the API. This is the part that is a bit scary if it had come out in Oracle's favor. If they can go after anyone writing code that implements one side of the API, could they go after anyone writing normal Java apps they don't like? There is a subtle difference there but would it matter?
