It doesn't have to do with not being native. Actually, non-native English teachers are better than native ones because they can make use of their students' mother tongue (regional). These people from Kevin's videos are unprepared and greedy people.

Often, experienced non-native English teachers have a strong grasp of grammar and sentence structures, sometimes even more so than native speakers. They may also be particularly aware of the common mistakes non-native speakers make and how to help them improve.

There's nothing to be GRATEFUL about people who teach a lot of mistakes. Their victims are innocent and every mistake they've learned would take years to unlearn. This could jeopardize their future especially if they want to take English qualification exams. A small mistake will reduce their score and if they didn't reach the mark they need, they're back on square one. They'll have to pay through the nose to take the exam again. @LearnAcademicEnglish
@LearnAcademicEnglish 7 ай бұрын
@@user-ly2vt9zh3h well, good question! I would trust trained teachers on KZbin (native or not). I know it's hard to know who they are. No one expects learners to have perfect pronunciation, but if you want to get into the details of pronunciation, a native speaker is probably the best one to follow. Kevin & Lisa, Arnel, Rachel, Vanessa, Jennifer, and I are all examples of trained teachers on YT. About the t...we often use the glottal stop when there's a t at the end of a word, which makes it hard to hear the t. However, we don't dtop the t (we don't say "fron"). Learners can pronounce the t...it doesn't matter. When the next word starts with a similar sound (t or d), like in "front door," we link the words together, which again makes it hard to hear the t. I hope that helps! :)

I am an advanced learner and I'd be happy to teach English too but I will never dare teach without proper training or education.
