Hello Kevin. Thank you very much for what I consider to be the most important video for me. If I didn’t know the pronunciation of words like Singer, Ginger and Finger, I wouldn’t have known how to pronounce the letter”G” in words like these. Are there any other rules for pronouncing the letter “G”. I appreciate for your EXCELLENT teaching 🥰 .

it's not my business but maybe you will have more success if you name your video by content, like American Accent /ng/ pronunciation, it's hard to find a video if all of them are named Mistakes of Marina Mogilko :DDD I don't like Marina either , learned incorrectly in the past from her, but I feel like channel is becoming more about HER rather than struggle of foreigners to learn proper English. It's like "WOKE" movies, they spend time thinking about inclusion and equality rather than about making a real, good movie. I hope your channel spread love , not hate! :D

That final "g" in "ing" is most likely a soft "k" sound you're hearing. You can do that. It doesn't disrupt the flow of speaking. Just don't stress the final letter in "ing" endings, and certainly not as "g".

Excellent video! So, these words have a nasal _ng_ sound and no clear g: _Singer, ringer, clinger, hanger, stringer, singing, ringing, stringing, clinging, banging, etc._ In contrast these words have a clear g sound as in _bag:_ _Linger, finger, anger, hunger, bingo, fishmonger, lingering, hungering, stronger, etc._ And I would excuse Marina for her inaccuracy. This is really beyond the level of even advanced ESL students. Yet if they try to follow the standard pronunciation of such words, it will make their English sound much better. *Disclaimer.* Some variations are possible from region to region but this is the most usual way of pronouncing such words. It is usually more or less the same across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and even New Zealand. Although I'm not really sure about New Zealand LOL.

I don't care about marina and don't watch her. As an Ukrainian I hardly hear any small difference between the way she says "singer" and all this characters from the moovies which you put as an example. It's annoying for me when you say "not hangers, but hangers" - and both times I hear absolutely the same!! Don't you think that it's just a case of the accent? The difference is so minor for me that it doesn't seem like a mistake at all. I can't take out my toung and exchange it with an american one. You can't controll every word you say to eliminate the accent
