You don’t even need python or programming to do that. You can automate it with photoshop itself

yes, but not everything can be automated with PS itself and you could do it with python. also it can be an fully automated task... make a listener on a folder, the marketing team can just put the inages in it, and they automatically get a watermark. no more human interaction 👍
