Real Life HOBBIT Town in Switzerland 🧙🏼‍♂️🇨🇭 Sabbione (Swiss Village)

Sabbione in Switzerland is a real life hobbit town. This quirky Swiss village has buildings that remind of Hobbiton, the hobbit town in the movie Lord of the Rings. Sabbione is built into a hill and some of the buildings are on top of or under massive rocks. Come join on a 4K walking tour through this unique Swiss village and get immersed into the special feeling of living as a hobbit.

Thanks for watching, this means a lot! To answer the most popular question, if someone is still living in Sabbione, I have the following information. To my knowledge no one is living there anymore, but this Swiss village in particular is used for events and cultural activities. I can imagine that Sabbione makes a great set for a theatre! Sabbione shares the fate of declining population with many other villages in Switzerland. This is mostly because of economic reasons where all the young villagers moved to bigger cities for work, leaving behind paradise-like villages. Nothing is inside, that's why the cameraman did not look even inside of windows. Its a fake village, made specially for attracting tourists. No locals. No smoke from chimneys. A lot of firewood, but they are all for the entourage, for decorations. These fake 'hobbit' villages are professionally built, not only in Switzerland, but also in Ireland and other places, so you really believe that someone lives there. Everything is thought out in order to deceive your eyesight and confuse your thoughts.

Эта деревня была для жизни . Да , сейчас музей. Помнить свои корни .. Таких много в Альпах . Я живу в Национальном парке Beverin , Альпы .. такие пропасти , и там над ними домики одинокие, фермы .. все поддерживается государством ☝️.

@@jurybur_bobkov ну понятно же , что в музеях сохраняются предметы из веков далеких . В основном , эти постройки для пастухов на пастбищах . Они стада уводили на лето в верх , на пастбища . Укрытия временные , потом использовали , как место , для дозревания сыров .. и т. д . Понятно , что основное жилье другое . Сохраняется, как часть жизни этого народа . Уверяю вас , в Италии есть маленькие производители сыра, где гроты используют по сей день .

I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Switzerland 🇨🇭. When ppl ask if you could live anywhere, where would it be? Switzerland is my answer to that question. I was there in early 70’s and it remains very special to me. ❤❤❤❤

Strangely beautiful and with the looming mountains, a little scary. I've driven thru Switzerland a couple of times while living and stationed in Germany... The country is in every way, a different and exciting experience, especially driving over the mountain passes. This Hobbit Village is the most unique place I've seen so far, one can only Imagine the hardiness of those who built and reside here. Thank you so very much for this video... A real pleasure for sure.

I truly love old style houses like these. My farm in the north of Thailand is in mountain area also, but we have a Thai chalet. I prefer stone. Planning to build a small wine factory like these stone houses (if I managed to get the license this summer ❤️🙏)
