Ascetically speaking, probably the best build I’ve seen and the little details and going the extra really makes for a charming home. Your building skills are much better than a lot of the guys out there. I do worry about how long your plastic on the roof will last for.

I fear more about the plastic in the windows. Every time the door is opening you can see the pressure on the windows and in one scene condensed water on it.

@@Pets383 it’s easy to fix or replace windows, not so for the roof. No roof, no home, just a drippy, soggy mess.

I didn't mention the roof, because I don't worry about it. The plastic sheet will not rotten and so humidity has no chance.

I love this! I do have a question though. What about the static pressure of water in the hill up against the back wall? Don't retaining walls require drainage planning to hold up long-term?

This build is my favorite of all that i have watched; because he used everything from the land...except the plastic. Part of the reason it took so long is that he had to saw everything by hand.

Looks beautiful. Though I do worry about the strength of the roof to support the soil, plus snow during the winter and/or any large animals that come through.

Great job, the only thing that I would change is that I would use plexiglass instead of that thin shower curtain plastic on the windows.

What is the name of that long curved saw you are using? i need one, it seems to saw so easily through that wood! Love watching this, you are really strong, those rocks weigh so much. I once got a horse trailer load of broken road pieces that were shaped like some you used, i could only move about 10 of them at a time and i was done for a week! lol.
