This time, I visited Hanno, the real-life location of this anime, based on the images up to season 3, in conjunction with the start of the "Encouragement of Climb next summit" broadcast.
Hanno City was very excited to see the posters and banners of the work all over the city in preparation for the Encouragement of Climb next summit.

飯能に住んでいた者です。懐かしく動画を拝見しました。ありがとうございます。タイムズマートがそんなところに...（笑。蛇足ですが、正確には東飯能駅は池袋線になります。秩父線になるのは少し先の吾野駅から先なのです。またJR八高線で高崎まで行こうとすると、お隣の高麗川駅で乗り換えになります。高麗川から向こうは非電化なので直通していないのです。揚げ足取りで失礼しました。

I'm sure your trip to Japan will be amazing! However, in addition to Hanno, I highly recommend climbing Mt. Tanigawa. (Season 2 episodes 21-23) I highly recommend it even more than Mt. Fuji. If you are confident in your physical strength, you can take a day trip to Mt. Tanigawa from Tokyo by taking the first Shinkansen train. (If you want to follow the same process as the anime, it would be best to take the first train from Tokyo to Takasaki Station on the Shinkansen, then take the local line from Takasaki Station to Doai Station.) If you're going to climb Mt. Tanigawa on a day trip, it's best to have enough stamina to run a half marathon! However, you cannot make a reservation for Katanokoya Hut, where the characters in the anime stayed, unless you call.
