Might as well be called " no you dinnit" as an additional cost to play this spell forego all strategy and playstyle . counter any spell regardless of its difficulty to cast, mana cost, life requirement, graveyard size or any other requirements. Then go through the entirety of your opponents deck regardless of where any card is and exile all copies of that spell..even if Its an integral part of a combo winning strategy.after this is done relegate yourself to no strategy, plan, or course of game action other than to wait and do it again. MTG as a VR game like this would be so fucking great. Hell any tcg
@spliffi8693 жыл бұрын
Wow, that would be amazing indeed! I never considered that thought. Actually it could be a perfect game for VR, because the main downside for VR games is, that people will get sick if there's too much turning around and movement forced. But in a Magic duel the players basically just face each other, no need for running around. Imagine all the cool backdrops located in different planes, how sick summoned creatures would look and how it would feel to actually cast a spell with your own hands, thanks to the help of visual effects. Holy moly... I hope I get to witness that generation of VR card games still. That sounds so much fun, especially for casual magic formats / players, who just want to enjoy an epic fantasy card game and not turn MTG into "netdeck + math for the win", as most competitive players treat it.

The effects are awesome and the actors do great! And I loved how you represented tapping into lands for mana and drawing a hand of cards! That said, I have some critiques on the story. The _only_ offensive move Tamiyo made the entire video was squelching the poor little fire elemental (which seems like it was _maybe_ endangering buildings?). This makes Chandra's ultimate Grapeshot victory feel... kind of unearned. She was never in any danger, just frustrated by Tamiyo's defensive countermagic. Also, on that topic, Tamiyo's choices on what and when to counter are a bit sketchy. It kind of seems like she's just acting out how new players picture blue control ("they just counter everything I play and don't do anything!"), rather than saving her counters for the big plays while advancing her own gameplan. (Though of course Grapeshot would need a really specific counter, like Flusterstorm or Whirlwind Denial or Stifle for the storm trigger.) Still, I can understand why you'd focus on instants and sorceries, since creatures would be way more difficult to animate and draw the focus away from Tamiyo and Chandra. That _does_ make it harder to depict Tamiyo having a win-con... maybe some sort of Mill enchantment would've worked? Anyways just some thoughts. Still loved it!
