The best way to maintain to get a good range in Ather is by enabling the real-time efficiency indicator and ride accordingly by reading the indicator. Accelerate slowly in the beginning and maintain it, check the efficiency indicator it should not get red halos in between... In city I always get 85-90 in Ride mode...

@@036avin the game here is not about speed bro.. it's all about how much pressure you give on throttle... Keeping a constant speed, less breaks, use regen breaks on down hill will give you these numbers... To answer your question, the speed I maintain is around 50-55kmph. Pro tip: turn on the efficiency indicator if it is already turned off. Ride in a way that the red halo is no visible on the efficiency indicator.. if you see red halo on efficiency indicator, then you need to release the throttle and raise it slowly again..

Ather has thought through a lot of issues even before the current problems with batterry fires. They have always suggested but not insisted on bringing the battery for periodic check up. Also they have consciously gone for weight reduction and the single mono rear shock compared to OLA's two small horizontal shocks.

That was just to reduce the friction... You will have extremely bumpy ride... But you will get more range .. at 35-40 is the best combination of comfort - grip - and range...

Suspension are slightly on stiffer side... As as plush as Activa or Jupiter. But for a performance scooter stiffer suspension means a lot of feedback from road will come to you ... Which will further help in better handling at higer speeds and unmatched performance of grip.

I genuinely cannot get this range, i mean its not possible. I live in mumbai where potholes are a part of my life, i cannot inflate my tyre to 50 psi it will get way to dumpy. Max i can do is 35-40 though for good comfort and range 32 works good for me, i get apprx 75-80 km range which i feel is good enough.

@Geetesh, I saw in one of the ather 450x ownership video, He is telling he drew 136km on single charge. He hinted that, he used sports mode with speed range 40 - 45kmph with sticking to linear acceleration. If possible could you please do this test?? And what's your view on this?

Yes even that is possible.. the key is to have low wh/km figure. If he is able to achieve 19wh/km then our calculation will be 2600÷19= 136.8 km. By my personal experience I've touched 20wh/km, but as you know now I am close to 80kg, so any rider who is 55kg to 65kg ... Will surely have less watt/km figure.

I have one more question, Dealership guy told me that....If third party lady foot rest is installed on the ather, then insurance might not be claimed. Is it the case really.. I'm not able to get his point as lady footrest is protective device, how the insurance can't be claimed!!

These insurance guy always look for a loophole and use it to laps the policy and hence try to save money for there company. I think they just try to warn us... It's our vehicle and ethically we will always try to protect our vehicle and we will always protect ourselves and the pillion rider. In ather I do think having a bigger footrest is necessary for a ladies pillion rider wearing a saree.

Basically simple one is delaying because they are rectifying all the issues which ola has... Definitely it will have much higher range then ather 450x. But still we don't have it on road... Ather is proven machine... And you can have it any day. If you are in hurry then go for ather... If you can wait few months then wait for simple one.
