Ather Rizta 2.9kWh Range Test | Good & Bad Things

In this video, we rode the new 2024 Ather Rizta extensively to find out its true range and all the positives and negatives. We got the scooter at 83% charge and we rode it till it reached 2%. Compared to the Ather 450X, the Rizta is more sublime in performance. But with a bigger seat, bigger boot and several new features, it can prove to be a great family scooter with pretty decent real-world range. Three things that stand out for us are - overall comfort, practicality and features like magic twist and skid control.

In short: Smart eco mode is unusable because the road is not always flat and the motor struggles to move when on ramp. So keep switching modes is a hassle. So I will always keep it in Zip mode and can expect a range of 70-75 km per charge. Not good.

In Smart eco if you accelerate more the wings of power on the dash shrink Can regain the power with coasting regen. Smart eco is useful if you know how to use it

Every EV maker is fooling the public with their promises. If you want a hassle free life, go for a petrol scooter. It will give you a minimum of 40 kmpl and it will easily last 15+ years with regular maintenance. Just notice what they do to distract the public. They put in a large display that can easily stop working, they give the vehicle a sporty look despite it not being sporty, they use bright attractive colors for the body, they make use different sounds for the indicators, they somehow have made software updates a good thing. All this are just gimmicks to sell the vehicle.

Irony is whatever you said as the demerits of EV are done by all the ICE makers too. Let's not argue anyway, it's not an election you don't need majority votes to decide what to buy. Ye sirf smart eco mode mein problem hai, smart eco se simple eco mein aate hi scooter normal behave karta hai. Lekin bahot zyada inclined mein aapko ek mode up karna pad sakta hai. Waise ather ki climbing power India mein sabhi electric scooters se zyada hai. It behaves like a 110cc petrol scooter or even more in the warp mode. Warp mode mein iski power ko handle karna mushkil ho jaata hai. I am using Ather 450X.

@amit, Rizta doesn’t have any regular (simple Eco) mode. And it struggles in the Smart Eco mode. Switching to Zip is the only solution in such situations.

Smart Eco mein jab bhi problem kare to Simple Eco mein shuft kar lo then koi problem nahi hogi. Jab hum bahot der tak smart eco mein full acceleration dete hain to kuchh der baad zero elevation par bhi ye aise hi problem karta hai. It's a glitch.

Bhai, if we purchase Ritza Z 3.7 KWh. if we are not selected pro package then smart eco mode will not available. we only need to drive with Zip mode only. so obviosuly we will not get good range. so what's the motive to buy Ritza z 3.7 KWh. Range is almost same in all different modes , if u do hard acceleration very often than range drops , i drive 450s and clock around 90 km with 4-5 % battery remaing. In pro pack u can actually see the remaining km on meter which is helpful rather than showing battery percentage plus u get hill hold and auto indicator which are useful in day to day life

I feel motor is too weak, I'm 125kgs and my friends ~100kgs, scooter doesn't pull, forget running with 2 such people. Most indian are overweight only ola is giving sufficient power for regular use.
