2:00 Depends on the state, but for the most part there are several laws that can protect a citizen from lawsuits when aiding police, but by all technicality you are able to sue for practically anything. While most people will say this is stupid, if you think about it logically, there is no way we could have law for every CIVIL dispute. Chances are he wouldn't be in trouble criminally, but as a civil case he could theoretically face some level of punishment, I doubt a jury would aid a criminal though, but in the case of you tripping someone who was innocent ehh... That's a grayer area, it would depend on the damage done, how reasonable your action was, etc. While the USA does have frivolous law suits, there are laws against this and you can be punished for it. The system is set up in a way that allows people to sue for things that aren't explicitly written in a code somewhere and seek benefits depending on several criterias. Aaaand if you look at the data, the idea that american's sue a lot is for the most part, a myth. There are a few people that do so, but this is then exaserbated by the media and made to seem like a bigger concern than it really is. While data is spotty, America only ranks 5th(While the UK ranks 6th) in terms of litigiousness. In other data books that include other forms of law America is ranked higher, but as is the UK so... This isn't the only case of the Media making it out to be that american's are less intelligent, but thats only because that is easier for the media to get clicks off of. Who wants to watch a full trial litigation or the ins and outs of a lawsuit when you could instead boil it down to one phrase that is 'technically' true but removes most of the context? For example ''Woman sues McDonalds for hot coffee" is a famous case that people believe to be stupid, but when you look at the facts there is FAAAAAAR much more context that makes the woman a more sympathetic and understandable person. Tl:Dr Depends on the state, and america doesn't sue anywhere near as often as the media portrays it to.

14:34 Yes, the crime is attempted robbery. Attempting a crime is a crime because if it weren't the police would have to wait until you are guilty which no one would want.

I think people forget just how deep snow can get on the side of a mountain. Those "little" trees you often see are actually the very tips of trees that are like 10-20ft tall. And they tend to have dips in the snow around them cos the snow slowly melts when up against tree, leaving a spot where you can slide down and get buried so deep you might not get rescued before you die.

Harry is 1billion% right about not trying to stop a car or something like that with your body/hands. I've lived it. When I was 20, I lived in Pennsylvania, and it was February, so it was pretty cold out. I went to my friend's house who lived on a hill and there driveway was on like a 45degree incline(like 50yards long) and it was kinda narrow(to the point that you couldn't get a car and a bike side by side, but you could get a decent size truck up it). In the winter when it snowed out, you had to get a decently fast start and then TURN a little left(like 25 degrees) and then go up the hill. This was very dangerous, BUT they did it for 15 years, and I was doing it for about 4 or 5 years to that point. Well, this night wasn't to bad outside and was only cold out so it wasn't really icy or anything only alittle icy tho. Well I got up it at like 8pm and parked my car(i drove a 99volvo S70 that was modded and was manual. This will come into play.)at the top of the driveway there was alittle landing that wasn't flat but it was way more flat than the driveway way(prolly like a 15 degree angle). But I parked my car and put it in first gear and pulled the e-brake like I always did and went inside. I then came outside at 1am to grab a new pack of cigarettes from my car and heard a clicking coming from my car so I looked at it and it sounded like it was coming from my tires. So the only thing I could thing it might have been was my e-brake so I put my foot on the brakes and put the ebrake down and it stopped and then I put the e-brake back to make sure that's what was it and it was. So I figured on not a big deal since either had it in gear still so I kept the e-brake off.(to note when you pull in at the top on the driveway landing the house is to my right. So it's on my passager side of the car.) So then I shut my door and started to walk back inside and I was like 10feet away and I heard something like moving behind me and I turned around and my car started to side down the hill. It wasn't going more than a couple of mph BUT I had to think fast still since it was going to only be like 10 or 15 seconds til the car went over the hill and hit something. So I figured out fast I had to run behind the car and open the door and jump in and hit the brakes.(I ran behind the car because it would be easier than running infront and then having to open the door from in front of me. If you understood cool, if not sorry😂) SOOOO I started to run and when I was right behind the car I SLIPPED and fell on my stomach and the cars tires rolled right up on my side. At this point I was right on the edge of the hill on my left side and the car is on me pinning me down on my right side. I couldn't move because tire was on my shirt and jacket. And I didn't have enough room to take my shirt and jacket off. I was in a very bad spot with it being cold out and having a car on me being on my stomach. Well my saving grace was when I started to run I had my phone in my hand because I had it when I was walking back inside. And I kept ahold of it when I fell. So I called my best friend that was inside to come out and help me. He was confused with what I was saying on the phone because I was panicking ALOT. But he came out and tried to push the car so I could at least move and slide out or something but he couldn't move it enough for me to get out so the next plan was to wake up his parents and have them come outside and help also. WELLL bad thing was that they were drinking that night and just went to bed like a hour or so before so they were still pretty drunk. So as he went back inside to get them to "TRY" to help I was freaking out like crazing thinking I was going to die(and I really could have. My car wasn't light and all that really needed to happen was the car keep moving and push me over the hill and then come down and land on me.) (Now remember I'm on my stomach with my shirt and jacket under the tire and I was freaking out.) Well I was freaking out that much I put the bottoms of my feet on the gas tank and pushed up and the moved alittle and was able to rip my shirt enough to wiggle my way out. It hurt ALOT THO. At this point my best friend and his stumbling ass parents were walking outside and they saw me walking back in and they asked if I was okay and I said "does it look like I'm okay. I just got runned over by a fucken car almost"😂 so they helped me inside to sit down and my best friend asked me "do you want me to move your car so it doesn't go down the hill?" and I said no because he didnt really know how to drive manual and it was right on the edge so it would have to go over a lip and then go over the hill. So I said to give me like 30 or 45 min and I would go move it quick. And I didn't want him to fuck up and go over the hill. So that happened at 1am. Well I sat down at like 130am because at this point I just almsot DIED and I just had a crazy adrenaline dumb which sucked so dam bad. But at like 245am I wasn't feeling to much better but good enough I wanted a cigarette and was going to move the car and I went outside and looked and the car went over the hill and smashed into a tree like 35 or 45yards from the top of the hill and like 10ft away from the road.(was bad enough my trunk was in my backseat.) So after all this at 3am I was pretty upset. I just almost died, I felt like shit and I lost my car. Well it gets worse. I went to bed for like 3 or 4 hours and woke up to a phone call from the cops saying that someone called in that there was an accident with my car and they were wondering where I was. So what happened was someone saw it early the next morning and thought someone was hurt, so they called the cops and ambulance. So they called and I picked up and said that I was at a friend's house and then they said about the car so needless to say I went outside and talked to the cop. So what happened was I got a fucken ticket for this bullshit too. Since I tried to stop the car and I WAS in it 15 secs before it started to roll it was a ticket for reckless drive. At least this is what the cop said.(and I wasn't driving it for 5 hours before that all happened either.😂) The only good thing was I then called my dad. He was a tow truck driver to help me come get the car out of the woods and take it back home. For free😂. BTW i went to court and got that ticket taken away because the judge even said i shouldnt have gotten shit. And he hoped i was okay instead. Well what happened to the car and the reason all this happened was the e-brake started to actually crack and thats why it was clicking when I heard it. And then when I did put it down apparently the gears in my transmission werent all the way locled in and in first gear(was in gear alittle tho) and when I took the e-brake off it started to move alittle. I figured all this out when I got it back home and took everything apart to then scrap most of it. All but the engine stuff that was good and the mods I put on it(turbo, lights, intake, the brand new seats I just put in 2 weeks before, and a few other things). But I took it all apart to see what happened and that's when I figured out my e-brake was cracking alittle and my gears weren't all the way locked in when I put it in first. This is a lesson to anyone that reads this dont EVER EVER EVER try to stop a car that is moving with your body in any way, shape, or form."
