finding out how the show is actually produced has completely turned around my view of these grooms. the show's producers make him pitch ideas for the wedding and THEY choose the theme, not him, plus anything the couple has discussed beforehand is automatically discarded - so if she points to a dress and says "i want that one" 6 months before they go on the show, he still can't buy that dress. the producers say it's because "the point is to surprise the bride with something other than what she's expecting!" they're literally scripting conflict and potentially destroying relationships for the sake of ratings.

Well, I think, in general, men are not detail people. He probably just thought her as recently more thin. The dress probably looked large enough to him. In the 3 weeks since he saw her last perhaps she was a tad bigger. I don't know, but somehow I just can't fault him for that. It is clear that he loves her so much. Same goes for IKEA. Peculiar, yes. But just horrible, no. In no way do I believe he meant to embarrass or humiliate her. Weird thinking maybe. Memory making for sure. I wish them well.

Was telepathically screaming at my phone as soon as he first picked out that dress & was having it tried on by the store model....."but she's pregnant!!" Please mention she's pregnant! That way one of the woman there can steer him in the right direction. Not every pregnant woman is Rhianna & wants to have their bump on full display. Poor girl, with all those hormones already, she was probably in such an emotional state to begin with. Then add in the unfortunate tragedy of her losing two precious angels previously whilst around the same time along in her pregnancy now & she was undoubtedly & rightfully so, probably an emotional wreck even just stepping in to the dress store. Then you don't like it!! Oh dear, you poor thing. Thankfully they were able to quickly appease her mind & let her know something could b done about it to make her feel more comfortable. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful on their wedding day (especially if it's inside an IKEA store🤦🏼‍♀️).

I guess everyone will call me crazy for saying this, but what I like about this crazy idea of his is he's focused on their real world life together. So many people want a fantasy wedding, but this had such a real world feel. I don't know if I am articulating it properly, but the way I think he looks at her, fights at IKEA and all, IS his fantasy. He is living it already! There's just something so real about it. I don't feel it was out of selfishness. Just like maybe he actually wanted her bumb to show because he so happy about having a new baby. I know my husband found me most attractive when I was pregnant with his child.
