As a little girl listening to this when my uncle played it in his truck at the park-I told him I wished a nice man would love me that much. He said one day it would happen. It did!!!! I Married a great man - going on 36 years! Yup, he sings this to . . . Me!

This song was written by Berry Gordy, Brenda Holloway, Frank Wilson & Patrice Holloway. In reality it was really written by just Brenda & Patrice but Berry made some minor changes & Frank produced Brenda's version so they took co-writing credits...It was originally released as a single by Brenda Holloway on Motown/ Tamla in 1967 and made it to the Top 40. Patrice Holloway was a friend of mine and also a room mate for a few years down in South Central LA. We used to sit on the front porch and sing YMMSVH sometimes. Patrice had some singles released by Motown& then Capital Records as well. She was also a member of Josie & The Pussycats, The Ikettes and worked with people such as Neil Young, Joe Cocker & Diana Ross. She ghost wrote a song for Madonna in the 1980's and was living off of that when we became friends. She was one the nicest human beings that I have ever known. I met Berry Gordy & Bobby Womack at her funeral in 2006. RIP Patrice...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrice_Holloway

JMBOY, if haven't done "Go Down Gambling" yet, it an awesome faster more harder rock tune. Another excellent BST masterclass in vocals and musicianship.

Check out the original version written and performed by Motown legend Brenda Holloway. The live version if possible. Also, Brenda’s sister Patrice co-wrote and sings in the background vocals.

I have never seen you react like that to any band or artist in the beginning of the song the way you reacted when you first heard the lead vocal's voice. His name is Thomas Clayton and he is the main signature lead vocal for Blood Sweat & Tears. BST is one of my all-time favorite Jazz/Rock Fusion bands in the entire world. I heard this song in 1968 on the radio and fell in love with the band. Great reaction. I think BST is going to be your favorite band too!!!

I don't think the divorce rate is a good measure of whether there's a healthy relationship or not. Plenty of people stay married when they don't treat each other well. I also don't see how formal education has anything to do with it either. Also, the 'virtue' should be on both sides.
