For an interesting take on flamenco check out the band Carmen from the mid 1970s. Fandangos In Space and The Gypsies.Flamenco influenced heavy/progressive rock.

Yep, this is Madrid, my home town. Flamenco is an art that is dying. No young Spaniards go and see this spectacle anymore. Shame, that’s the way of the world today.

i remember seeing them when i was living there 54 years ago. Sangaria is the first alcohol for me to drink and i was only ten. It eventually led me down a long and winding road. Stay away from the bullfights. Went to one and it grossed me out.

Superb show. The guitarist was excellent and the outfits very special. The effort that goes into Flamenco 💃 is just crazy, amazing how they keep up that pace. Wish my Spanish was better would have loved to get the full story they were telling. The lady in red polka dots had a different style than I’ve seen before, very fun evening! (The Sangria looked yummy too!)

Jordan, I really enjoyed the Flamenco dancers/singers and the musician. That type of dancing takes a lot of concentration as well. I was watching the foot work as well as the body language.
