There's something called "fight response" that our nervous system and amygdala in the brain does while we go through stress. (Fight flight freeze fawn responses). His brain was also hallucinating then. Childhood traumatic/stressful memories are popping up. So, the possibility is his brain and nervous system together trying to fight the situation (not the person). Reality is that he may not be even remembering that he choked his friend. It was just a trauma response behaviour.

What I don't understand is, I appreciate the intellectual prowess one of the friends had. However, when they talk about heroism, it was just a foolish act from a group of youths who tend to break the rules and seek adventure. I don't find any inspiration or interest in this story. I would rather say, don't celebrate movies showcasing true incidents like this as achievements.

This movie is not in any way celebrating their recklessness or their foolishness but showcasing how they reacted when they faced the music. If you don’t find their friendship inspiring, no offence but your perception of scaling a movie is distorted.

It also shows how dangerous one simple reckless behaviour can lead to almost deaths of people. It's also a form of warning.

There are many representations of "heroism" in movies from sliting throats to crushing skulls but if volunteering to save someones life is shown as heroism there is nothing wrong in it, these situations can happen at anytime not just during trespassing, the movie also never glorified trespassing instead I believe it serves as a huge message to be careful during travel

Traffic movie is not celebrating rash driving and death of vineeth sreenivasan but people's effort to save another person by delivering organ on time. People who watch manjummal would think twice before breaking such rules
