I really like your decoding videos. But I can't resist myself from saying ki you couldn't give justice to this song decode. Rabindranath Tagore is far more than any Bollywood lyricist, his every song and poetry has a deep rooted philosophy and meaning. It takes a little bit of extra effort to understand that properly. Also, whenever I have seen a translation of Rabindranath Thakur's work in Hindi specially, I don't know why no one literally could ever give justice to the writings; English ones are still acceptable.

As a Bengali, it's so nice to see Tagore get wider recognition. I've always felt that outside Bengal, he is far less appreciated than he could be (which is valid, the language is an issue of course.) But that you took the effort to cross that barrier really warms my heart.

You've poured your heart into it, truly. Tagore has taught me the essence of love, surpassing even platonic ideals with his poignant love songs. Perhaps it's because of the profound pain and loss he endured-losing his wife at 41 and three children during his lifetime-that his art resonates so deeply. Sometimes, it takes losing loved ones to truly understand their significance. I recommend listening to other songs like "Dūr Deshī Sei Rākhāl Chele" and "Āmāre Tumi Oshesh Korecho." The devotion in these songs is bound to uplift your soul with ecstasy.

my partner and i have been together for about 8 years now and our conversations have always been the best part of our relationship. we talk in depth about books and movies and socio-political events to even bugs! when the topic of death ever pops up, i talk about how i will not live a day longer. that living will be futile without him and his presence. and all these years, he has always said, "if anything happens to me, i would want you to be happy. yes of course it'll be sad but i would want you to pick yourself up. me leaving does not mean that everything that we experienced ever left. heck, let's say, that you fall in love with another person. i'll be content knowing that you are happy and i wouldn't regret any moment of what i had with you." everytime he said this (along these lines), i would think that he doesn't love me enough because he is ready to part ways with me. we talked about it more and more and i gradually understood what he meant. your explanation seemed like he is talking to me. we're now living together and have a cat named mani ❤ i'm going through your channel after your video explaining kun faya kun. your explanation isn't mere translation, it goes beyond it and i really enjoy listening to your analysis. thanks for the anecdote too! ❤

As a Bengali I praise your explanation ❤, it is very good. Just a minor correction at 4:09 , 'Peyechi' mean 'already gotten'/ 'paa liya ' , not 'miloge'. So the whole sentence means - 'I've already gotten you at my core of the heart, so don't need anything else '. Bengali literature has many many good songs, poems and stories. I think you can bring more and more things to your audience by diviing deep into Bengali literature ❤.

I had heard this Song in 2015 probably and I fell in love with this song right then, not because I understood a single word but just because something about transmitted through the soul of the song through the soulful singing of Arijit Soon after I heard it I started to look out for the translation of the lyrics just to understand it more deeply and understood the jist of it, but someone sitting down to explain each part of it and being so transparent relating it to personal experience and sharing it with the world so honestly with Pure intention of lighting up the path for those who are in search of understanding the deeper meaning of Love! Love~ that is complete in the experience and the feeling it gives us, and in the very true sense probably No one but only we know what it made us feel its more our own then any one else, something within us was capable of feeling so beautiful and the Best part is that another could leave and go away but Self will stay as long as we are the source of that feeling of Love is with us, it is us and so we can be free from the fear if loosing it and hoping we can too be a medium to give that feeling to someone else.. all naturally, Thank you God for the humans you made to be able to experience this beautiful feeling of Love💕

The song starts by saying that "you are everything my heart wants". Then it says if you are not happy with me, not satisfied with me, then please find satisfaction and happiness elsewhere, but don't be sad. I have got you, i don't need anything else. Then it says, i will be in grief because of our separation, but i will be residing in you for days, for nights, for years and for months. (like naam japna) If you love someone else, and if you don't come back, then whatever you want will happen, and you need not worry about me, no matter how much pain it will cause me. Certain mistakes i found: 3nd stanza "tomate koribo baash, dirgho dibosho dirgho rojoni, dirgho borosho maash" means i will live within you for days (dibosho), for nights (rojoni), for years(borosho) and more months (maash). Ami tomare peyechi hridoyo majhe means i have got you in my heart. Not i will get you. This song is more like giving when you're in love rather than expecting anything in return. Seeing your lover as God and literally worshipping them to an extent where you see no difference in them. At this stage, you're already satisfied that the person's existence is more than enough, and all you do is give and give, no matter how much it hurts you.

Nothing is going to top this, never in the future. And if you think, with utmost respect and love, Tagore was such a emotionally manipulative person, The last verse, just imagine, you know that your love has faded in your partner’s heart and you have the audacity to tell her that oh… if you love someone else, you are free to go, cos I can always carry and live with the pains which you are leaving behind… I mean Damn….

Just want to add a point.
