It was written by Shauna Cross and Heather Hach and is based on Heidi Murkoff's 1984 pregnancy guide of the same name.

The thing that really bothered me about the delivery scene is that Evan doesn't actually help her. He doesn't encourage her enough, support her, touch her, or really help her. That really bothers me.
