This is good the grind is real. I get it killing for survival. But a lot of the killing is senseless and over dumb shit. Its not over some telling they are going to kill you all the time. The majority it over some type of disrespect by words or over greed. Robbing one and taking his life to prevent him from snitching or retaliating. See if one becomes a victim of the streets the thought are like kill or be killed. Eat or don't eat it true and a reality. But if by any chance one's parent/parents. Take there kids out of the hood. Change their way of thinking the kids will see the pro's and con's of both. You deal with racism but it would be shine kicks. Something you can over come. You won't deal with being called a lame worring bout being shot sitting on your punch. You'll be harassed by both sides. The cops will mess you on both sides. But you are most like won't end up dead or in jail and have to worry bout 2 enemies. Only 1 it might end up being killed. But the chance are less not being in the hood/jail.

Verse] Since you confused, let me break down a real nigga Listen: there's a difference from a house and a field nigga A real nigga don't conceal how he feel, nigga A real nigga might destroy to rebuild, nigga Us real niggas, we been misrepresented by Ignorant, low-life clowns just gettin' high Just sittin' by, with they pants saggin', spittin' lies It's sad-the kids is the ones that's victimized See, in the eyes of a man that's blind We like crime, but you don't understand the grind You don't understand when a man plan to fly And get locked down 'cause his man told the damned-est lie And now his family cryin' and he jammed inside Six by twelve, for seven damn July's When you survive that, it enhance your pride You can overcome Hell, and they can't deny Now you back up in the streets, confused and mortified Morals is nothin', the dudes they glorifiy Fabricate the truth, same dudes you saw inside Rattin' and snitchin', the image is all a lie Now you go and try to find you a job But they ain't lookin' for a brother with a criminal charge Now you sittin' in the room, arguin' with your broad She tellin' you: "Go and get a job!" You try to tell her it's hard So she tell you: "If you don't raise the money here by tomorrow? I'm sorry, you gon' have to go live with your ma." But your mom's got six people up in her house Two beds, niggas barely got room on the couch So what you gon' do? Go to Mommy? Squeak like a mouse? Or be a man, hit the streets and go and figure it out? See, a real nigga about havin' problems and solvin' Not waitin' around, hopin' and starvin' You find a way to get your own fuckin' apartment Makin' somethin' from nothin'-that's fuckin' evolvin'! When you grow up in the projects, the stuff you involved in Drugs, poverty, emotional hardships You just tryna get out of this fuckin' environment You grindin', you ain't sittin' around shuckin' and jivin' You fight, or be prey to the hoodlums and tyrants Kill or be killed, so you forced into violence Of course, you define this as bein' a neanderthal I call it survival of the fittest, I'm a man at war Sometimes you can't walk away, shit you can't ignore Sometimes war is necessary, either stand or fall My real nigga talk seems bogus? A real nigga ain't gotta say that he real as long as he know it If he know the other rappers deceive Then kids is like soil where they plantin' the seeds And he know what cats hear and raps they believe Then you gotta tell 'em who a real nigga actually be Peep now, actually see, we fightin' for the same cause I say the same thing about them stupid lame whores I hate the game, but I know it ain't gon' change, 'cause It's makin' so much money, it's gon' make more We on different elevators but the same floor Only way to change this shit is to wage war So I'ma just keep fightin' the fight Write truth, bringin' lyin'-ass rappers to light Only a few of us left that have the insight So all of us loyal blacks unite-fuck Hip Hop!

Both sides are right. It is a fact that many artists want to be big but they can't because they're not rich and they need to have a hard-ass job which takes away all their time and energy, whereas some assholes just buy fame with money. This is a fact, but we shouldn't hide behind this excuse, this unfair world should fuel us even more rather than make us give up and be a nobody using drugs and drinking alcohol.

It's the power of perspective. I think the point of them doing this, was to show there is never an absolute truth, and always at the very least "2 sides to every story". It's easy to judge from the outside, but you can never know the reasons for why someone does something . We need to all respect each other. That being said, of course there are rights and wrongs. But within those black and whites, into the grey area.....a lot of things that seem mutually exclusive, can infact be true simultaneously. Just keep working towards improvement and growth and we will get there. Much love

okay your saying research but you yet to come up and source any? okay so someone who kills in a warzone is now morally justified cause you live in a shitty area. the burden of proof is on the one making the claim. i backed mine where the hell is yours? oh i forgot to you killing is okay as long as it happens to someone living the "street life". my point that is that murder is wrong no matter how you put it. keep coming up with excuses for people to murder it shows how ignorant to a basic morallity issue. lastly, don't bring up skin color to something that isn't based off it. this is a issue that happens no matter the skin color. my point with the statistics of the fbi is that sadly people in these areas are predominantly black. which shouldn't be the case. it doesn't help that alot of music and role models in these places glorify "grinding and murder to get where you want to get to".
@thebigbrownrat26696 жыл бұрын
your facts have no citation. so they are not facts they are opinions. blaming the issues on a skin color is idiotic and counter productive when it's not the government holding you back. take chicago for example with a majority black police force and a 9- 15 black council and look at the crime rate. its almost as if skin color doesn't matter. do me a favor and don't talk about facts when you have none.

First: I respect Hopsin for appearing in a response video to a hard-hitting and realistic depiction and commentary of youth today. I don't respect homeboy's response to the video, however. It plays like a grasping-at-straws way of justifying criminal behavior because "it's necessary for survival". I don't buy that. There are a million and one ways to deal with living and the struggle of potentially not being able to bring home said necessities, none of which involve crime. Sometimes the most basic answer is to break the fuck down and go back to basics, ie: earning keep the hard way.
@desperatedave35733 жыл бұрын
nice well thought out seemingly logical statement.. but you forget / or never knew something very relevant.. basic human nature.. and or original sin.. and or.. perspectives.. some peoples perspectives only show them a very narrow view of ability that they have at their disposal.. most criminals as we know them.. are just desperate people trying to make their way(as has been since dawn of man).. yet ignorant!! IGNORANT.. of a better way as you so preachily say is out there for every one.. I do agree a better way is possibly out there for all.. but.. like a horse you need to lead to the water.. cause they ignorant of the path to the water.. you cant make them drink.. but unlike the horse.. most will want to drink cause they are soo desperate for the path to be shown in the first place.. soo dont judge others soo high and mightily.. lol or you risk being judged by .. perhaps your better your self.. in the end it will be god.. but before then it might be someone like me.. dare speak up.. I dare you to say some misbegotten dumb shit attempt to defend your stance.. It would be my honor to .. stamp you down on behalf of all the misrepresented people who are thought ill of.. !!

Only people who can't relate hate this video. You can call it justification on criminality but so is joining the military. The way Mysonne justifies waging war can be compared to the way the US military does, it's all for a good cause in the end right? We need our military to survive and move on. Mysonne, sold drugs to survive and move on. It's not like he was saying selling drugs is the best way, it's the only way for some. He was talking about building a foundation. Once you got the foundation you have more opportunities.
@OverthereLook10 жыл бұрын
Don't sell drugs, just build a foundation.
@mortalhordewarrior928510 жыл бұрын
Except the people in the military fight against what most people consider to be "bad". Now I understand not all war is just, but even if you don't agree, most will at least understand why there is the intention to fight against the bad people and those who don't agree with our way of life, namely terrorists these days. Criminals in our country fight against the people of our own country. You don't shit where you eat, that's common fucking knowledge. Sometimes it's rough to get by and put food on the table, I've worked minimum wage for a while, but with enough hard work you can get by within legal means.

@Twoneuchiha17ooo9 жыл бұрын

@johnnniemiller15309 жыл бұрын
Nick Williams Who are you to say what is bad and what is not. That is a concept created by people to gain more power and protection for there-selves, and they mass sell it so that others will be willing to accept it.Then they try to wage war or incarcerate anyone who thinks different. Then they try to add the doubler standard, you cant kill but they can, and it is right and just when they do it. Also minimum wage where im from is 7.20 an hour. An average full time job is 40 hours a week. That means you would make $288 a week, and $15027.43 a year. Then those same people who play god and decide what is right and wrong say that you owe them a percentage of that money so that they can do things you may or may not support. the cheapest apartment for rent in my area can be found for $500 a month. also thats the cheapest meaning you live in a trashy part of town. That means just so you dont have to be homeless you have to spend $6000 a year leaving you with $9027.43. That is just the apartment, not the bills that have to be paid.According to pureenergies.com/us/blog/infographic-american-spending-on-utilities/ the average cost of utilities a month in america is $163 a month which mean on average you would spend $1956 a year on utilities so you can shower so you can keep your job and have lights to see. Now you have $7070.43. But you still havent eaten may i remind you. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the average cost of groceries is $2577 a year, leaving you with $4493.43, also note that this is without tax. tax is 8.25% of every dollar. I am lucky to live in a state where i dont have to pay a state tax. So i wont even go into state taxes right now, but you have to give the same people mentioned previously $212.60, leaving you with $4280.83. That number is what you have left to spend on everything else. I hope you dont need a car to commute to work and back because a cheap used car may go for $2000, and thats not even going into the possible maintenance to keep it running. Then there is gas, and according to dailycaller.com/2013/02/05/report-u-s-households-spend-record-amount-on-gas-in-2012/, the average price americans spent on gas is $2,912 in 2012. That right there puts you in negative $631.17. I hope you need nothing else like lightbulbs, a bed (or a couch), refrigerator, etc. I tried to live on minimum wage when i was 17 and homeless. It didnt work and i resorted to selling weed. Does that make me a "bad" person, even though my "crime" hurt nobody but the previously mentioned people's pockets? You sound ignorant and naive. Know what you are talking about before you try to make an arguement

First off... Hopsin had it right, I'm white so I can't say "real nigga" but I'm assuming this term is Ebonics for a Real Man.. A real man ALWAYS has a choice. Mysonne says sometimes you don't have a choice sometimes u have no options blah blah blah... A REAL man ALWAYS has the option/choice to do the right thing. A REAL MAN makes his own path and does what's best. What's right
@trumpsbestfriend342810 жыл бұрын
I didn't have a choice, I was sent to prison for looking out for a child, I had no choice, its been 10 years now, I've lived the life of a felon, its hard as fuck, but now July 22nd I'm being vindicated, I am innocent, after 10 years, sometimes justice has it wrong for certain particular situations. That's what life is, the hard comes at you and you have a positive choice to make. My family has never helped me, even out of prison, I slept in a park, but my choices were to never steal, don't be a liar or cheat, do honest work, and I went to the library found work on Craigslist. Just because life is crappy doesn't mean its OK to be ratchet and do wrong.
