One of the best songs ever written. A raw look at the deepest thoughts a human can have. The struggle of faith, the questions of why we're here, and how we're here? Truly amazing, and great delivery.

2014 I heard this song. Lost and alone. Screaming out to God and feeling ignored. Mom sick and dying and nothing I can do to save her. In Nov of 2014 God called my mom home and this was the last song she heard me playing. I do not question God anymore. It took me 10 yrs to process my mother's death. I'm thankful that I'm still alive. Now I'm sick 😢 and now I understand how my mom felt 😞. To those doubting them selves, follow your hearts and chase your dreams. We are never guaranteed 24 hrs. Seize your moment in life. Own it. Make it yours. But what ever you chose to do do t doubt your self and don't doubt God. Love you all. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

+Anon Iman The funny thing is that there's no good without God, please define to me good, do not give me personal preferences! And please stop with this idea that people do good because they believe in God, Read Roman 2:15 "The law of God is written on people's mind" they can't escape it, that's the reason hopsin sings in this beat that there's no problem with not believing that there's right and wrong but then after turns around in another song calling people on their attitude!
@seaking3128 жыл бұрын
Ben G "The law of God is written on people's mind" and they can't escape it... srsly?! Do you mean that in a sense that God created mankind in his own image? ...and programmed us to use logic and common sense in a way he imagined it and in a way he uses it? Just imagine how humans are greedy, envious, lazy, stingy, rotten, angry... Does that mean God is the same as us? Is that the law of God you talk about? He wrote that on people's minds? Someone surely gave humans bad habits, could it be that God intentionally made us like broken toys?
@BenGLastreezy8 жыл бұрын
Anon Iman God created all of those things for your own dood but people twist them for evil! Let me give you a glimpse of what you call "evil" on the mirror of them being "good"! envy, people should use it to build theircharacter, i can envy your intelligence and by that i should feel pushed to do better to get where you are, we say that everyday, "man i envy your attitude" or things like those, and many othe stuffs! I don't look at all emotions as evil but they become evil when they are used to go against the moral code that God has drawn in your mind! Now i want to ask you something, according to evolution we were programmed blindly by our DNA to do what we do and act the way how we act, tell me why are you complaining?

Same way with the bible. Full of stories and lucky guess's. I have predicted thing in future before does that make me someone of a higher power, should someone write a book about me and kneel before me because i was lucky predicted a few things. that would mean that most scientist should be god because they have predicted more then the bible has.But it is what it is. let people believe in a book that was written so many years afterwards. its like the telephone game. you start off with a phrase and its different at the end of the line. so how could a book be so well written thousands years later..lol makes no sense, how can most not see that, maybe because their mind cant handle that much thought at once

@britjohnson95137 жыл бұрын
Tiny Rick You're beyond ignorant. It's not my issue if you don't have the ability to comprehend the point I'm trying to make. I completely understand the definition of art. What I'm trying to say is that in music itself. There's a huge difference in just "music" and "musical art". Musical art has meaning and a purpose, it conveys a specific message. Music is any ole dumbass talking about a whole bunch of nothing.

Jesus was possibly the first schitzophrenic. Its possible. Today, when someone claims they are God or Jesus reincarnated, what do we do? They are "crazy". So why is Jesus above that scrutiny? They didnt know better then. Dont give me "miracles". Those arent miracles...theyre parables...written by an author. Expand your mind...it doesnt make you less. IF Jesus was real...if God is real...theyll respect you more for finding your own path rather than just believing because you were taught to do so. I dont hate on people that believe. If something makes you a better person...then do what you need to in order to be a better person. But dont attribute your ability to be good to something else. YOU did that. You just had inspiration to do so.

@iphotonq22357 жыл бұрын
See, I actually don't like that. It plays directly into the description of an atheist in religious scripture. It doesn't seem like a very good argument, but it is understandable.
@joesutcliffe68287 жыл бұрын
I think its an excellent argument, my parents are christian but I'm struggling to see why i should stop doing seemingly harmless things just so i can please someone/thing that i can't even see
@iphotonq22357 жыл бұрын
Joe Sutcliffe The reason why it isn't a good argument is because that is the exact description it gives someone who falls under temptation. Of which, they consider you someone who has given in to the devil. So, religious people will not only understand that you did so, but they will reference the bible and how it explained that quality of atheists. Therefore, by giving that argument, you are only proving a religious person's point.
@joesutcliffe68287 жыл бұрын
(I want to gave a genuine discussion here, so lets not turn this into a hate filled argument). Perhaps I worded it wrong. I mean things like if i want to live a little while I'm younger, perhaps have something like sex before marriage, something harmless as long as you control it. Why should we have to cut out fun things like that just because of some rules supposedly made by an invisible being who wont show itself to me? And these rules are all written in a book, which must have been written by men. In my head, although i agree with almost all principles of christianity, i can't understand why we should follow these rules to please this being that possibly was completely created by men
@iphotonq22357 жыл бұрын
Joe Sutcliffe I'm not saying that those things aren't harmless or even saying God exists at all. However, all I'm saying is that by giving that argument, you fall right into where a religious debater wants you to go. To answer your questions, they simply point to the bible. Even if you win the debate, they will say that you fell prey to Satan's temptation just like Adam and Eve. That argument doesn't win any debate is all I'm saying. They will argue that just because something feels good, doesn't mean it is okay.

Anas “you were taught by the of government that homelessness and poverty is a choice” you misunderstood what I said, “sometimes” there’s a difference. You still never answered my question before, where does it say in the bible that Christianity is a business and all about money. You kinda disproof your argument, “Christianity encourages charity” I don’t see that business is profiting money when it’s a charity.
@johnwick10644 жыл бұрын
Anas Exodus 22:25: “If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be like a moneylender to him, and you shall not exact interest from him.” Leviticus 25:35-37: “If your brother becomes poor and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall support him as though he were a stranger and a sojourner, and he shall live with you. Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God, that your brother may live beside you. You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.” The Old Testament authority condemns taking interest from the rich and the poor, within the Jewish community. Jew is allowed to borrow money from a non-Jew and pay interest to him on the loan, thereby enriching him, and a Jewish person is also allowed to lend money to a non-Jew who asks for a loan and collect interest from him, just as non-Jews are allowed to lend and borrow money to and from each other with interest. Neither of this is harmful to society. Loans and interest are the two poles of the turbine that drives a healthy economy. When loans are available, merchants can make greater profits, builders can build bigger buildings, entrepreneurs can bring new ideas and inventions to the market, and families can live in better homes, more jobs, more food, more clothing, more choices of how you want to live. Edited: Just added a few things.

Loved this song at 14 the day it was released and listened to it on repeat until I could recite every word. This song moved me at 14 and it still moves me today at 23… Now at 23 I can only feel sorry for that 14 yo that had absolutely no business in being able to understand a song that goes as deep as this one. Stay faithful, and if you are that same 14 yo that I was, don’t ever forget that there is a purpose behind your existence.

I'm faithful but I'll never be faithful to the church or another religion again. God is only a neutral force that left things to natural order after it was done creating our solar system. Source: The ever expanding universe and the fact we don't know what's beyond the universe or the big bang let alone the mysteries of what our brain does while dying. I'll have faith in him however we all should know better than to think god will intervene in human affairs. That would admitting to imperfection. I was 16 listening to this 21 this song only intensified how I also felt. Can keep faithful but don't let it control your thoughts and emotions. God made us the way we are for a reason and the church simply doesn't like it and will use eternal damnation as a method of controlling things they don't agree with. There are books that make sense and holy books aren't one of them, too many of the "wrongs" all happen to be mammal nature and written in a way it sounds like a disgusted, jealous, or hateful human being

He sounds like he was fighting himself in this song. This is the struggle many of us go through. Before anyone wants to judge someone for being a "non-believer" listen closely. He is trying to believe and making the effort, but he has a hard time keeping his faith. Some people are fine with believing in anything without question. Others want to see real answers other than old scripts written by other humans. I think if Hopsin is being true to himself and being a good person, that's all that should matter. Forget his religion or beliefs. In the end, humanity is what keeps people together. Not the creed (or lack of).

Yo, i'll be honest. I heard this song a first time and I was mad at hopsin for dissing religion but I stopped and started thinking. Hopsin has every damn right to doubt and search. He is still looking for God according to his interview and I hope he finds what he searches for. This song really hits home to the faithful and the faithless. Everyone doubts. Even the strongest of believers have questions and although this song is hard hitting it is a clear depiction of the struggles people go through when it comes to thinking about the big questions of life. Im Christian, but it doesn't mean there are things in my religion I am trying to figure out. Thanks Hop.

I know a few very religious people to whom I’ve shown this song to, and they even admit it’s a very good song and it sort of made them understand people who don’t have the same type of faith they hold. I didn’t believe in god before I heard this song, but after hearing it and seeing how many people it has reached, I feel comfort in that I’m not a select few that feel this way, but am part of a large whole that realize religion is most likely a fairy tale passed down generation to generation to make humans fear death less and less. As death is the one universal unknown. We don’t know what happens, but if you have faith and strong beliefs that you will go to a better place, than you are probably better off. IMHO I think hell is a deterrent to attempt to keep people from committing crime and vile acts. It still happens though no matter what. I don’t think we’re different than any animal and sometimes animals have to commit vile acts to survive. Humans are just too smart for their own good, so we end up putting too much significance on our own lives so we don’t feel like we’re living for nothing.

he isn't saying he hates God, he is saying he doesn't know what to believe anymore, as he clarified in an interview.

its because people like you made a big deal out of it an blew it out of the water. i remember when gucci gang was literally no more then 2 hours old bro it had only 124k, then the audio finally peaked at 8.8 mill. the th music vid came out and started to peak at around 19 mill which is pretty average for him. and then boom, it blew up. because of whiney ass dudes like you complaining hip hop is dead.
