I have been studying COT report trading strategy from a few different sources for about 6 months now. My question is aren't we supposed to wait until Commercials (Large Hedgers) to take extreme positions which supposed to indicates possible trend change? If so, the commercials have been extremely short on Gold last 3 weeks (52 weeks low) and extremely short on Silver (52 weeks low) this past week. So if we are supposed to follow the Commercials for trend reversals, why were you long on gold?

COT isn’t the only tool to make decisions. Ands its not a timing tool given its a week old report.
