Thank you for watching. Becuase I had a friend who lives in the U.S., everytime he came back to China, he would go to the market buy those second generation amber bracelets and sell, he said foreigners don't care about this, they just buy the look. I doubt what he told me. But that was like 10 years ago, we had no more contact since 2014.

Hi, very informative and helpful video. When you mention the smell of the amber when rubbed, you have used the word 'rosin' but actually I believe the word is 'resin'. Anyway I understood! Thanks and look forward to more.

Hi Karen, may I know how accurate is using salt water to test on flower amber authenticity? What is the right ratio of water and salt for the testing? Tysm!
@KarenHuiCrystals3 жыл бұрын
Hi, salt water can not test second generation amber.

@@KarenHuiCrystals Oh! I brought a flower amber and testes it on salt water. It does float so I was wondering how accurate it is to do the salt water method on the authenticity. Tysm Karen!

Thank you for this important information. I know this is about 2 yrs old video. I do wonder about the dark red color amber I see on sites. Is that real amber? Some dark red listed as from Russia. Honestly I know nothing about this dark amber. I have not seen it in shops to inspect a piece. Would the same technique be applied?
@KarenHuiCrystals5 ай бұрын
@@RUGRAF-rf8fi Hi, Amber stone has many colors, also different origins, dark red color is real, but I can not be sure the one you looked was real. There are too many fake Amber stones!
@MrsBalach4 ай бұрын
Oh I just came here to talk about red amber, mine is brownish and unlike you I had never heard about yellow amber, I didn't even know the name was amber, I saw that stone online and came to know the name was amber and it was referred as old Moroccan amber if it helps you, I don't think mine glow like that in the video, what I want to know only cut amber glow ? Or there are some other tests to check the red amber ?

Are you talking about etsy, ebay or some other online sites ? Dark coloured amber is beautiful compared to light coloured amber, I was looking to have some pieces but I don't know why this amber has become non existent and we can't find it anymore

Is it true that amber glows under uv light? I have two flower amber bracelets. Is there a possibility that they are 2nd generation amber?
@KarenHuiCrystals3 жыл бұрын
Hi, second generation amber also glows, so if we want to spot if it's real, the pattern is the more important. Plastic, 2nd generation amber would have stirring pattern.

I wanna buy amber but yes, I'm also scared because its not really heavy, chicken oil, even if it sounds funny, it does look like the color same as chicken fat and chicken oil on top of rice is delicious (I'm sorry with my rambling) The variety of of amber in english name is quite appetizing.. honey amber is one of them 😅
