I love color analysis! I had it done when I was a kid when it was a fad in the 1980s/early 90s. It’s made such a difference to my sense of style. I thought this video was fun and relaxing, but it was odd that you had to hold the mirror the whole time. Your arm must have become tired!

Wonderful video, Emma (and Fleur). I’m several hours late watching this, but man was it worth the wait. I’ve never seen someone get a personal colour analysis before, so I found the process of this video quite interesting. Everything sounded wonderful in this. I especially enjoyed the colour fan and assorted fabric rustling sounds in this, so thank you for including all of those. Lovely video as always. I've never heard of this before, but I definitely believe colors play a big role in how we look and feel! When I was married, I hated the color yellow. I thought it was a terrible and too bright. Now that I am divorced, happy and healthy, mentally and physically, I love yellow. It such a warm, happy color! 💛 I think I'll get a color analysis done 🤔

See it as that the colours in summer are a bit bleached because of the more intense sun and therefore are pastel 😉

💜 Hello my lovely sweet Emma 💜 I hope you’re doing well. I was going to take a nap but I wanted to watch this first, lol. I was out helping my mom with grocery shopping this morning so I’m kinda sore and tired right now and I’m dealing with another headache. Plus we’re under another winter storm watch through tomorrow. I had a dream that showed me b4 i was put in my body, I told them I wanted RED hair. They said they weren't able to pull it off but told me to follow the directions on the box. This was so relaxing and comforting. I'm a Deep Winter, by the way, so all my colors are cool and bold, and I love it. When I had my first color analysis done, I tested a an Autumn, but I think it's because it wasn't as nunanced as the system with subcategories within the seasons, since Deep/Dark Autumn can appear very similar to Deep Winter, at first glance, but Autumn and Winter themselves are pretty different.

How funny, I was just looking at colour analysis for myself the other day after watching Peace and Sararity ASMR's video! I tend to gravitate more towards the earthy / autumn colours or the brighter spring yellow colours. I do agree Emma you look great in the autumn colours. I especially think you would look beautiful in mustard. I love mustard yellow myself. Perhaps you could find a mustard yellow jumper? xx

Emma I loved your comment about trying to find your colours in the shops in summer. I’m a dark winter and struggle to find summer clothes. I also find a lot of the colours are bright summer colours. I’ll have to really look into where to shop.

I wish designers took this into consideration when they set the palette for their collections. There are some shops I love in theory but that only offer all-cool or all-warm color palettes, and that can't be good business. Also heinous, shops that put filters on their pictures that misrepresent the color tones.

I did this when I was in high school. I knew you were an autumn before she got started. Lol I’m a winter. It makes the biggest difference when you were the right colors. I love brown but can’t wear it. Everyone thinks I tired or sick when I try 😆

Yes they still apply 👍🏼 Great question! Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chip in with a full explanation but Fleur later on suggests you can get away with colours that would normally wash you out with extra make up. However seeing as makeup enhances your natural skin tone and we usually wear make up colours that go with our skin hair and eyes, then it would follow that you're matching your season with make up too. Also once you know your season, you can wear makeup colours from it too.... I THINK that makes sense 🤣

Considering how you choose a foundation that matches your natural skin tone I would definitely say so! Although I suppose you could do some adjusting to change the tone of your makeup a bit to accommodate for adding colors outside your wheel

Makeup can work a little differently sometimes but overall the same rules apply. A difference might be with something like eyeshadow. Warm tone brown eyeshadows for example, _can_ look good with blue eyes because cooler tones can sometimes make them look more sunken or tired. But it just has to be tested to see how it goes with the skin undertones as well.

I'm definitely a winter and I always thought I couldn't wear yellow but I'm going to try to find a shade of yellow that looks good on me. Now orange is a no go on me lol, I've tried many shades and it's a big nope. I love orange and yellow on other people and I'm lowkey jealous they can wear it.

If you're a winter, you can probably wear butter or lemon yellow, or the yellow of the analyst's sweater/ jumper. Orange is a no-no for cool-toned people - it's exclusively warm.
