Thanks for that, great to see a young pilot really enjoying herself on the Simulator. I am almost 70 years old and have been flying simulators since my forties when they began. Over the years people wonder why I play this game as they call it, being disabled I have managed to teach myself the systems of the cessnas up to the private jets which I love the best. When this Simulation by Microsft jumped this far forward I was astonished. I am able to fly both business jets using all startup, in flight and landinģ procedures through FMC and ILS due to FSX and XPlanes. I smile when young and middle aged simmers who spend more time looking out the window are totally lost by not learning the best part which is instrument and situation awareness control of these aircraft. To see a real pilot enjoying the experience is heartwarming, keep smiling and flying, and stay safe. John (UK).

I'm a mirror of you, John. 71, been flying MS since ~1989, through all the upgrades and I love flying the regional jets. I bring up the Instrument procedures, file flight plans. I used real world environment, had to plan my fuel, etc. I have bought the MSFS2020 and also a brand new mac-daddy made to order PC, just waiting to find the right screen, controls to purchase. I want to be able to have a gaming monitor that I can also use for some business applications like WORD, EXCEL and also to get into Citrix environments. Again, thanks for your comments.Don

Hi Emilie. Fun video. Great to see a real-world pilot getting into the sims. I am not a pilot myself, but I do have over 2,000 hours flying sims, from GA to Commercial Airliners. My 2 fav aircraft are the Beechcraft B-58 and the Boeing 737-8 NG (PMDG) in FSX. Will have to upgrade to new rig to play MSFS 2020. Talking to real pilots at Deer Valley Airport (KDVT) in Phoenix, their biggest problem with sims is lack of motion and peripheral vision. That lack of force feedback is very disorienting to real-world pilots. TrackIR is a solution for vision, but pricey (around $200 USD). With regards to new aircraft like the Dash-8 Q400, there are a number of 3rd party developers that are working on it, but Asobo (MSFS 2020 developer) hasn't finalized the SDK (Software Development Kit) yet so they are likely not going to be able to provide new offerings soon, or if they do, updates to the SDK will cause problems. But be patient, I can't imagine that MSFS 2020 will not eventually have the same level of 3rd party dev support that FSX has. Finally, on peripherals. My FSX home cockpit includes EFIS and Mode Control panels for B738 from Go-Flight, Radio stack and switch panels from Saitek, and I have built a custom control panel for things like landing gear, lights, master battery, avionics, etc. using Leo Bodnar USB game controller chips. My Logitech X-56 stick/throttle has a bazillion switches and I use some of those controls for trim settings and flaps. It took years to acquire and configure all that stuff. So just keep at it and you'll be shooting perfect landings at SABA! Have fun and stay safe!

You were trying to use every last inch of that teensy runway eh? 😁 At the last second I was like oh no she not gonna make it! Boom lol. Great vid, fun to watch, thanks! Also, there are different views you can use, there is a "landing" view that sits you up a bit so you can see the approach better over the dash.

Found your channel in my recommended vids. I'm a long time flight simmer (since the late 80s) and am learning the new MSFS now. I saw your other flight sim vid and it made me laugh. Hope you'll be able to get back to work in the near future.

I just love watching Real Life Pilots flying this sim,As old timer Simmers ,it's such a great joy to see your reaction to how close to your experience this can get . As virtual Pilots we can only admire your persistence in achieving a commercial pilots licence,and this is as close as we can get to your world.Thank you for your enthusiasm. Not gonna lie, during the landing I was thinking "even if she's a real pilot, shouldn't she have gone through the tutorial missions so it'd tell her where the button is for the flaps?" Turned out not to matter! lol :D I just picked up FS2020 a few days ago with ZERO prior sim experience and zero real flight experience. (Except as an airline passenger of course.) Absolutely loving it, and loving these videos from pilots! So yes, please do those videos you had ideas on. By the way, there's a copilot function in the game, even on single-seater airplanes, so you can have your copilot manage ATC and things like that if you want so you can focus on flying. Having a second monitor is really helpful too, since the windows can be popped out and moved off of the game onto your second monitor and arranged to your liking. (Note, if you move the mouse onto one of those outside windows, the game won't respond to your joystick until you click back into the game.)

A series of tutorials on take off, cruise, and landing settings for each plane would be great! The sim only explains a 152. And even that isn't great. Then you have to go lookup how to fly everything else they stick you in.

About the constant update: As far as I know, the world is auto generated based on Satellite Images from Bing Maps. So if the maps get updated, the game will be up to date too.

Credit to you, a King Air would not fly to SABA. More like a Twin Otter. WinAir flies there on regular scheduled flights.

Well, then why is the King Air set as mission standard there? Or did I missed something?
@naknaksdadn5724 жыл бұрын
@@TheEdge92 The only airline currently providing scheduled services to and from Yrausquin Airport is locally owned Winair, which operates daily flights to Sint Maarten aboard a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter.[9] On average, flights to Sint Maarten last no longer than 15 minutes.[10] If you have some further information regarding the King Air being a "mission standard" there, whatever that means. Would appreciate it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juancho_E._Yrausquin_Airport

I have to show your vid to my wife. She likes the sim but gets stressed out quite a bit landing. The sim can put you in the enmersion zone. I know I've feel the adrenaline on a regular basis. Anyone thinking an actual pilot is going to automatically ace it on flight sim within days of sim release may be wrong. We took a flight in a small bubble chopper some years back. Talking with the pilot on the way back my wife mentioned that I fly RC choppers. The pilot said, "I have a tough time with those things, doesn't always end well" ...just as we are coming into an actual landing... They're not quite the same, just like Sims. Different feedback and no G force. Great vid though, on the edge of my seat watching your approach. Been hooked on the Activities landing at Llanada Grande, Chili airstrip. My best is 1.45 million pts so far. 1.9 mill for top landing score.

At least you damaged your landing gear. Last week I crashed into the control tower after a 5 hour flight. Hope everyone in there bought a change in underwear. Been a FS gamer since the 1990's. Flown a 172 for over 3000 hours (on the tach) with no joystick, just a mouse and keyboard. Coming up to 150 hours on FS2020. Still with a mouse and keyboard. Thanks, I have learned a lot from you and Captain Joe.
