Taking pictures is a little extreme I hope he was paid well! I am one of those parents but in the USA doctors dont seek these clients NOR do they just administer transitions!! We go through years of proof, lots of $$ (my retirement) and community rejection. I left my state, my beautiful home and husband to support the person I gave birth to. All the bibleFearing social media hoopla "dont help or support your kids who are gender confused" is Bu//sh*tsuicide ! Infuriating that social media is labeling Trans or Intersex as "popular/new/ mistakes/ or attention seekers"!! smh- There are many chromosomal make ups.

I was born intersex with 48 chromosomes (XXXY) and NCAH, female internally and both female & male externally. I was always told, both by doctors and family, that I was sterile and could never father any children. I was told to keep my birth condition secret, that I was unique, and that I would never meet anyone else like me. In my early 30s I met and married a wonderful/beautiful lady with the understanding that I could never have any children. To my surprise, and to the complete surprise of my entire family, my wife became pregnant with my daughter; now we have four biological children, with all four having at least some unusual health conditions, still unknown as to whether such conditions are intersex related.

I recently had a baby that is intersex, most people call him a he, because we are not doing surgery but allowing him to decide when he is older. He is happy right now. If by addressing it before puberty you mean go through with a surgery I beg you not to, no matter how your child feels. Let him wait till he's a legal adult, till he's gone through the awkwardness of puberty. Medicalising doesn't need to happen, as you've acknowledged, and he was born that way for a reason. He is whole as he is, and always will be.

Agreed, I will never understand it, and it's why children should be specifically taught this. In the 1960s and early 70s in Catholic School, one of the songs we sang was :They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love. One verse was we will walk with each other, we will walk side by side, and we'll guard each man's dignity and save each man's pride , and they'll know we are christians by our love, by our love, and they'll know we are Christians by our love. (That was before things got so WOKE that they had to stop using that song,. as "person" didn't make a good substitute for 'man". smh.). That line ALWAYS stayed with me. But parents still need to hammer it home bc I still remember witnessing lots of terrible cruel teasing from some students towards other students. I regret not having the assertiveness and even courage to intervene when I saw this.

The street kids ? Ultimately what is behind this kind of behaviour is fear, fear of difference to initiate a fight or flight response, where of course when there is strength in numbers it's preferable to fight, for fight is potentially more profitable as it contains within it personal elevation. Fear of difference can be absolved through education.

People and society are messed up. They’re all brainwashed and programmed to believe there are only 2 genders when really there’s more than 2. To me intersex is a spiritual gift and its why doctors cant explain it cuz its an occult gift and they actually do have hidden power but in order for it to open is to accept their intersex and breaking chains and breaking society norms.

Klinefelter syndrome, are not typically classified as intersex. This is because XXY individuals do not exhibit a discrepancy between their internal gonads and external genitalia, and they generally do not have both male and female characteristics. The Intersex Society of North America (ISNA) has historically avoided applying the term "intersex" to individuals with additional sex chromosomes, such as XXY, unless there is clinical evidence of intersex . The 2006 Consensus Statement on Management of Intersex Disorders, published in Pediatrics, also does not include XXY individuals in its definition of intersex. Approximately 50% of men with KS will have sperm detected with TESE/microTESE, of which a 50% pregnancy and live birth rate can be expected

This is why we need to come out of the puritanical past. Early diagnosis, puberty blockers to give non-typical people time to consider, gender-affirming services, and support for those who want to continue being intersex. This wouldn't even strike us as odd if we hadn't been keeping it in the dark for so long. Klinefelter's is far from rare.

Not that I was looking through having resigned myself to a lonesome life, another found me to teach me what true love was about for there is something else in this sexless relationship ; a spiritual connection, I have never felt before to in event discover spirituality and such spirituality, it's like it's all coming at once, am even able to sense the spirit of places, the animi loci where it resides. The cause of my life's pain and confusion was an intersex condition discovered in my mid forties of which explained much, to enable me to firstly stay my hand i.e, stop thinking about death, forgive myself my life's failure for not being what I wasn't to cause me to step off the ever destructive ; ' why circuit.' The "why have you not transitioned earlier"question sounds so innocent. It actually is better to transition late than never. It is scary, that the youth did such a bad thing as to calling names and pestering them. It should really be taught in schools more openly, that the Gender binary is superficial and leaves no room for Trans and Inter People. Too bad, it has been not checked in childhood or latest, when puberty did not go as it should have. And that so many Inter people had surgeries to make the genitalia look normal, but risking the sensation with them. It really is about time, the medical profession leaves the decision what to do surgically to the Inter person, and let the kids know about their different genetic makeup, so they learn and be able to decide, once they are old enough. Same with Trans, some kids get an early sense of wrongness, but do not have the words for it. Educating the kids about the possibilities is not "bending them to trans agenda", it is giving them the tools and words, they need to find their gender identity. In some way, Trans is a similar phenomenon as Inter, and treatment can be hormonal and/or surgical and make life easier with less depression.

You can have your eggs frozen at a young age these days if you wish to leave being a mother till later in life. There ihas been rare cases where the eggs have not survived but it is rarer these days. Intersex people are all special and nice people. I’m not too accepting of gays or transsexual due to my Christian beliefs (don’t hate them, just don’t accept their choices), but I’ve accepted Intersex because they were born as a bit of both. I like that they can think like a male and think like a female, that’s unique. And if they lean on what gender they feel more within themselves, that’s totally understandable

Kudos to you for your advanced understanding as regard intersex folk but I think you will find if you look your church is historically no friend to our kind. For what would your church have seen of us before Dr Harry Klinefelter recognised us, in 1942, for sure wouldn't it have seen ' gays and transexuals ? ' But beyond that, there is Genesis question to consider for to accept our kind is to challenge the very bed rock of Abrahamic belief. But given your apparent acceptance of us, may I recommend a book that may interest ; 'Men, Women and Intersex in the image of God by Meghan K De Franza ', in fact if you look on this site, you can find DeFranza talking about Intersex in the image of god.

Why can’t they do HRT and surgery like a trans person to be the gender they identify with? They at least have a little more to work with. Modern medicine has come so far. Edit: just saw on his computer screen 1995. Maybe psychologically it’s not as cut and dry as a trans person. I wonder how they’re doing now? (This is 28 years ago) I wish them all the best and hope they found peace and happiness.

Are you talking about people born male but took hormones to live as women? Sorry but I don't understand why you have a problem with them in men's sports. If they were in women's sports, chances are they will be called out for "cheating" because they were born with a different genetic makeup than other female contestants. To avoid this argument, they enter men's sports. Does this clear it up?

My respect to the people living with this genetic condition. The existence of this genetic anomaly does not explain the identity delusion happening in trans kids. 0.1% of cases Klinefelter in USA does not explain 5% of kids identified as transgender when they do not have this anomaly. The existence of Ectrodactyly (lobster hand) another rare anomaly does not cause people to affirm the existence an spectrum of people with a variety of fingers and people identifying such as, when they do not have this condition.

Klinefelter Syndrome is not the only intersex condition, but in fact one of more than thirty other variations. But KS only affects what appears to be males they say, well no it doesn't for there has been discovered XXY's with a natal female phenotype.

@@Coelacanth1 The other intersex conditions or variations are not really intersex, since there is always a sex" male or female defined by capacity to produce sperm or ovuls. All these conditions add them up represent less than 1% of the overall population. This does not explain the more of 4% of kids that are self-diagnosted as transgenders, when they do not have any of these conditions.

@@fpattbergfpattberg7825 if a being cannot produce sperm or eggs due to natal condition then by both biological and in most jurisdictions; legal definition that being is neither male nor female to be referred to as intersex. And the intersex incidence of occurrence is ' currently ' 1.6%. But does one have to be intersex to identify as different to one's appearance?

No intersex can not have babies most are sterile if they are XXY or. XY, a lot of time when they are XX, they are missing an organ or not enough hormones. I haven't heard of any inter having children, but there are people who are just male and female that can't have children either.
