I'm not a Bayer Leverkusen fan but I really wanted them to win the Europa League and end the whole Season unbeaten in all competitions. But yeah I am still happy for Atalanta. Not many backed them for the win in the UEL Final even though they had the tougher side of the draw in the knockouts stages but still came up on top. I am happy that they had finally got a trophy. Their Coach has been doing a pretty good job. There had been Seasons whereby they had more goals than any other team in the Serie A. You could see that Atalanta was cooking but sadly back then they were never awarded for their dedication and work rate. So I am happy that they had finally got their efforts repaid.

Im positive that if Leverkusen hadn’t played the EL final that early and had it later on like the CL final they would have succeeded. They were already exhausted because of the long season, but having to play two finals in the same week is just too much for the squad depth given that Africa cup was in the middle of the season as well.
