Unfortunately CORPORATE GREED is rampant in the US and getting worse all the time!!! Corporations are literally taking over EVERYTHING. They are buying up apartment buildings, homes and even trailer parks. They are jacking up the rents. They are buying up hospitals, slashing services and raising prices!!! There was a woman in the news who recently gave birth and afterwards started to bleed. The doctors transferred her to a hospital which had a special type of coil that could stop the bleeding. After she arrived it was revealed that all of the coils had been repossessed by the company that was financing them because the hospital stopped making payments on them. The company that had bought the hospital was making huge profits (including the CEO) but couldn't be bothered to pay the bill for the coils. The poor woman ended up passing away. Her husband is now suing the hospital as he should!!! 😭😢😱Price gouging is out of control with pretty much everything while these corporations make RECORD PROFITS!!!!

Thank you T. I have a hard time understanding how he comes from wealth, never had to struggle to survive, parents are wealthy & part of corp. America but murders a CEO because of greed. This makes no sense. I was a medical biller for 20+ yrs for a major hospital corp & UHC was the Worst to pay claims. It was a constant fight to get them to pay. The wealth gap has been growing & I do not believe that ANY person deserves to make millions per year when so many can barely survive. As a society, people need to stop & think & quit worshiping the wealthy. Whether we want to admit it or not, that is exactly what we do. In the U.S. we pay more for our healthcare than anywhere else in the world with an infant/Mother mortality rate that is the same as a 3rd world country. This is a fact.
@FuzzamajumulaАй бұрын
I agree with you. The top 3% are given cart blanche to accumulate money in any way they can. People are just a commodity to them. We should never have gotten so low that we have individuals who are wealthy enough to send people into space, and believe that they actually deserve that money. They ignore the fact that they would be nothing without being propped up by millions of poor people. They don't care how many women and infants die, as long as they have workers to feed their machines. Personally, I don't care that this kid came from wealth; and while I don't condone violence as a means to an end, I can't say that I'm sorry that it happened. These people are completely oblivious to the impact of the income gap and how it oppresses people. They don't care if people die so that they can get richer. So I'm not sorry. He didn't care about his charmed life and wanted to do something about the injustices he saw, especially if he had his own axe to grind with his own physical ailments. Health is wealth. People see all the superficial materialistic BS and think that fortune makes one fortunate. Life is about so much more than excess. Sadly, there is more than enough to go around, but we live in a world where access to resources is controlled and division is necessary to maintain power. The worst of it is that, if I'm being honest, most people, when they hear 'Back Issues', are kinda, "Yeah, yeah, sure pal... (Malingerer, whinger, etc...)" I suppose in part because those people _are_ out there, and partly, a lot of folks just want to see the worst in people! For people that _do_ have real back issues, maybe trying not to cry out in pain, all but paralyzed (I used to see this with my late wife, who was categorically neither a whinger, nor a shirker) this must be maddening! I lost my leg some years back, and even though it was above the knee, I'd venture that it was less disabling for me than the problems my wife used to have with her back when she was having a flare up were for her! However, because my problems were out there for all to see (especially when I wasn't using my artificial leg), and her difficulties were invisible, I got _sooo_ much more sympathy than she did! Even from _her,_ so much was she not a whinger!

I just went to one for a full gold crown plus a three unit gold bridge, and saved 40%. They used to work on a sliding scale to determine patient fees, but not any more. Most procedures are 30-40% less than one would pay a private dentist in the surrounding area. They also offer Care Credit which is interest free if promotions are paid on time, or else interest is 29% from the day the charges were put on the card. I find it helpful and pay it off far more quickly than necessary. They take a couple of dental insurances, but their names escape me at the moment. Hope this helps.

People need to petition on Mr Manigone’s cause. I had back pain and let me tell you something I hollered like a cow. I had to crawl on my hands and knees to the bathroom and wet myself a few times. If stood it was fine but I could not sit, if I sat I would crawling/creeping like a baby for the rest of the day. Not even the strongest pain killer could help! So, I understand Mr Manigone’s position. The CEO is by dead because of greed! He is gone from earth and gone to hades because he did not believe in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. So, to the rest of the greedy CEOs in the world, none of us knows when we are going to die, so make it right with THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and stop stealing, the gluttony, the pride of life, lust of the flesh and lust of the eyes. Treat people right! Stop robbing the poor saying it is business and when the poor reacts you claim it is violence.” Though violence is not always the answer.

I feel very bad for Luigi, He flipped, he’s very intelligent , he suffered a mental breakdown to make him do this. So he needs therapy and good medical help for his depression and psycho thoughts that made him do this. He is not a murderer. I hope they dint out him in prison for a long time , it would be such waste of a young intelligent man of only 26. There needs to be a deep investigation, why this CEO made him do what he allegedly did. He was not sane then. I would never make him guilty, he was insane, and insanity must be treated not locked up behind bars.
@Danielleb723Ай бұрын
I'm so sorry for your pain but it sounded like in Luigi's case he had access to money if he had to pay out of pocket. Obviously I don't know for sure but I think most likely could have figured out a way to make that happen. He had a good job and came from a long line of money. I get trying to figure things out on your own but asking for help would have been a better option versus murdering a man in cold blood. I doubt he will be getting any significant care in jail. The way you explained that he drifted away from family and friends says to me he was dealing with significant mental health issues probably on top of severe pain. Very sad he threw his life away like that. But murder is unjustifiable.
@Danielleb723Ай бұрын
I just wanted to add to my previous comment that I hope it didn't come across that I took your video as justifying murder. I understand anger towards the insurance industry but I just think with his background I would have hoped he could have found a better way to handle his anger. Maybe he could have really made a difference but instead he threw his life away.
@bethpent8851Ай бұрын
I dont think he had mental issues at all! I think his pain was so bad and he felt his situation was hopeless. I think that stopped him from persuing any relationship so their wasnt even a chance of a woman dealing with it or understanding because he couldnt let it get that far. I feel so bad for him because he let the pain take an emotional toll on him. Im sure his family will get him the best lawyers so im glad about that. I just hope their is some way that the jury can take some kind of pity on him because his pain wrecked him mentally and i hope the Judge can also feel some kind of sadness for him!! Well have to wait and see. Its clear that this young man had everything going for him and the agony took over him and ruined his life!!!!

As I read through these comments, I am deeply saddened for all those with stories of constant pain. I've had some issues in this area, but can keep mine at bay through adjustment maneuvers I gleaned from a physical therapy video on YT. I cannot fully imagine what people with major conditions are going through with chronic pain amplified X amount of times. And I'm not talking solely about the physical aspect. I believe Mr. Magione's story and actions may very well be a historic case that, like a bucket of freezing cold water slapping our national face, can be "the" wake up call to the issue of health care. Worse cases of health industry pillaging exist and more egregious crimes exist, but timing is everything. My plea is not for violence. Any idiot can destroy. I ask ALL of us, what can be collectively built from this?

I think that you are reasonable and you just wrote it out so beautifully. I agree with everything you said here. How can we fix the problems in the health care industry/insurance industry because there are problems without a doubt.

Apparently his pain comes and goes with his movements. He can be painfree and then turn and bingo, the pain kicks in (per a friend of his). I'm also wondering if the surgery maybe fixed part of the problem but even with improvement, he still felt outrage (prob not the case but I'm just trying to figure out how he moved like Spider Man on that bike).

He deserves no sympathy. His back pain is his medical condition. How will killing someone cure it. Disconnect health care from government. Regain the direct relationship between doctor and patient. The government and corporations are the middleman taking a huge commission on American sickness which they have engendered. College tuition was a small fraction for myself compared to what it was for my sons because, in their time, the government loans were fully in operation, enabling the skyrocketing tuition bills. Get government out of all these places that they ruin.

I had bad TMJ pain in undergrad. The only thing that worked was wearing a top mouthguard all the time. Bottom ones don't help me. Have you tried botox in the affected area? Luckily, mouthguard treatment eventually worked (top only) for me. This was before botox was used for TMJ pain. Also, a physio might help with exercises. That said, maybe you've already tried all this... Bon courage!

I'm NOT defending insurance companies who allow people to suffer like this, but there is no excuse for murder. An eye for an eye just makes the whole world blind. You know how many people in pain and more (me), and had issues with Insurance companies, never did they pick up a gun and kill, rather get a lawyer. NO Excuse for murder.....He is not a hero, he is now a murderer. Ruined his whole life, wasn't he supposed to be smarter than that, well I guess not. Perfect example how a piece of paper from a college and so called accomplishments don't prove who you really are, or what you are capable of. Who knows maybe he got everything easy in life (recognition from the school because of his grandfathers and family businesses(i.e. above the law) ), and when he didn't get his way this was his way of throwing a tantrum, instead of using professionalism in obtaining a lawyer to address the Health care company giving him an issue, that would have been easier than murder getting caught, ruining your whole life and families (the victim's family) life and going to jail the rest of your life, all that education, didn't educate him on that did it. Hello. You can't buy common sense.

TMJ is a real B. Don't do the surgery. It doesn't have a good success rate. Look into maliofacial therapy. Wear a night guard. Also, there's specialty ice packs for tmj. Like a headband . Helps. Hope you get some relief. ❤
