Our priests blessed our Easter/pascha dinner. We bring it in baskets covered with a special decorated cloth. Wonderful blessing. Sprinkles with holy water.

We do the same thing at our Orthodox parish in arizona. Our baskets are blessed either in the hall after the midnight service or at noon on Sunday. Every year I say I am going to bake my own bread and cake and make the cheese and don't do it.

I like idea of one Community Church. So nice. In US we have too many churches I think. But many religions and religious freedom is a good idea but many churches are mostly empty.

Buy Him dry flavorered food with beef, chicen or fish flavoe. He will like it. Less is more, because too much food can make him sick and cause diabetis, if you know what I mean. You both look happy

I tried a couple of times to make the paskha and kulich but the texture of both seemed too dry. Perhaps if the priest sprinkled holy water on them, it would make them tastier!

B1sher Это большая церковь , монахини , люди, территория, воск, работа, електричество, всех надо кормить , поить!!! За счёт святого духа не получиться это прокормить и построить, и следить за порядком. Да и не так много они заработают-то. Достали слишком" реянные, морализаторы" или провокаторы !! ??

Почему в Греции свечи, просвирки и прочее бесплатно? Им удаётся святым духом питаться, а в РФ каждому попу нужен мерседес. У меня с участком граничит детская православная школа начальная и я вижу, на чем туда приезжают богослужители и какой аскетический образ жизни ведут. Всё как завещал Иисус: каждому минимум лексус, самому главному минимум мерседес и не меньше. Они говорят, что им их дарят, но никто не вспоминает, что Иисус босоногим ходил, потому что всё что было - отдал ради других и завещал придерживаться аскеты и лишь самого необходимого, не утопая в обжорстве и ненужной роскоши. Не нужно вот оправдывать служителей религии, они не боги, а алчные люди, даже не пытающиеся скрыть своего богохульства, нарушая одну из ключевых заповедей в отрытую. Это театр и каждый в нём - неудавшийся в прошлом актёр. В местном храме книги всякие религиозные продают дороже, чем те же самые книги в книжном магазине. А печатает их вообще стороннее издание, а не попы сидят по ночам от руки вычерчивают, а затем эти книги закупает церковь и книжные магазины. Вот только церковь сбывает их дороже даже розничных торговых сетей. Почему? Я вижу в этом грязный бизнес, а вы - жертву богу. Вот только я сомневаюсь, что бог имеет от этого хоть какой-то процент.

Не судите да не судимы будете. Суровый асктический образ жизни среди "богослужителей" ведут только те кто принимает на себя схиму Просвирки в русских православных церквях тоже бесплатно для причащающихся. И где в Греции вы видели свечи бесплатно? Во многих странах Европы рядом стоят ящички для пожертвований, куда вы должны положить деньги. В некоторых местах вы можете положить сколько хотите,а в других есть определённые расценки. Так что питаться святым духом в этом мире пока никому не удавалось. И Христос говорил Богу Богово а Цезарю Цезарево, на вопрос нужно ли платить налоги мирским властям.А насчёт платы церкви если вы христианин заплатите своему приходу 10 часть доходов так или иначе и не мудрствуйте лукаво, а если не православный то какое ваше , собственно до всего этого дело. Фарисейство и порок и большое свинство.

You definitely don’t have to be in a church every minute it’s open to be saved. As long as you’re reading your Bible, living as Christ instructed and keeping an active prayer life...being in a building isn’t a major issue; because our bodies are a temple (because the Holy Spirit lives in us once we repent for our sins and ask Christ to be our atonement and savior). So have no fear! Church is lovely, but it’s nothing that would keep you from God. 😃
