On the coast in Washington US we had a cyclone bomb yesterday. Very unusual and took out a lot of trees and power lines. It was good for small businesses tho, as people went out to eat and charge their devices. We are to get another bad storm tomorrow. Tis the season! Hope you stay dry and warm. I have found that if l have quite a few lights in different places in my living room and I put bright LED lights in the light fixtures then turn them all on if I’m having a day when it feels dreary, then not so happy that it really helps! Maybe a person doesn’t want to have them on all the time but once in a while when you need them it’s really nice and cheery🥳😁👍🌷

As an American, I just have to let you know that your English is excellent! Thank you for a peek into Russia. That shopkeeper sounds like a 'fill-in'. As in someone from another shop that doesn't sell yarn but when the actual shopkeeper needed to run to the bathroom or to get lunch, he asked a friend to just stand there & act like he owned the place. But being a man in a yarn shop doesn't sound like how a typical Russian man likes to be seen.
