If you're taking the train from St.Petersburg to moscow, I have a few questions... 1. Is it a good experience as a tourist to take the long train journey rather than the express? 2. If so, what time would you reccomend travelling? 3. Is it difficult to sleep on the train? 4. Is it better to book your ticket well in advance? 5.Is the train journey and oppurtunity to meet interesting people? 6. Is the landscape along the way interesting? Thank you so much for everything!
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
1. I can't call it a long journey anyway, express is about 3-4 hours, night train is about 8-9. it's better to try both:) both are worth of tourist's attention 2. you mean time of the day? usually it's late evening - to arrive early in the morning 3. hard to say. for me it's very difficult, for most people - very easy 4. yes, you can book it in 45 days before the trip 5. only if you speak Russian:) 6. hmm not for me, but for foreigners it might be interesting

@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
зато в Сапсане нельзя лежать:) он идет всего 4 часа
@misha93620017 жыл бұрын
Это должен назынамъся"Саспан" ,если я не ошиблосъ.Это поезд идет с Москвы до Санкт-Петербургами.

Real Russian Club Ok....My question is out of side because it does not have anything relate to this video, I as a foreign guy do you think I may get married with a russian girl If I might try to seek for any of them
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
I can't answer this question, because i don't know you. But in general, why not? Many people marry foreigners around the world, and Russia is not an exception
@marlongazo13127 жыл бұрын

Молодец !! Отлично!!.You really did capture some nice aspects of train travel. A few questions though! How on earth did you video inside and outside a train station? I have been stopped from doing that in the past for security reasons. Also, +23 C is so pleasant inside the wagon. I have had some very hot and stuffy trips where they heat the wagons up too much and you can't open anything for fresh air.
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
you can take videos and photos on the stations, no problem at all. As for the temperature, there are air conditioners in the compartments:)
@aussiesurfer72367 жыл бұрын
Air conditioning!!! Book me a ticket please :) The ones I was on were heated by coal!!
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
omg, I haven't seen that for ages
@IvanSolodovnikov19867 жыл бұрын
In most cases heating is electrical, via 3kV bus from the locomotive. However in cases of emergency coal heating still can be used even in modern coaches. It is illustrated in the 6th episode of the Trans-Siberian Odyssey: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXjLc4OArtR-o7s

Thank you for your great video! Just one question, if I can. When you buy the ticket in internet, do you have to print it or may you just show your mobile phone with confirming email? Thanks again!
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
on rzd.ru they say that you should show them the screenshot of your ticket, but in reality inside the train nobody asks for that. I only show my ID to the conductor, and that's it. But I guess with foreigners they can be more demanding:) so it's better to show them something

The russian people can read the american alfabeth? Or just sirilicus...
@IvanSolodovnikov19867 жыл бұрын
I would NEVER recommend 3 in 1, especially on newer trains, because they have coffee machines on board which enable your car attendant to make you excellent grain coffee, and its price is quite affordable, RUB70-90 per cup, a great variant to begin your day just before arrival!

HOW I SAY IN 1 PERSON SINGLE THE VERBS
@klarabosak65607 жыл бұрын
why "можно спать"? couldn't you just say "можешь спать"? or "можете спать"? (depends, of course, Who and to how many is/are being talked to) what is the exact or literal translation of "можно"?
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
Here "можно" means that it's just possible to sleep in this train. I didn't mean anyone in particular. But of course in this situation I could also say "можете спать", talking to everyone who is watching this video. Same with drinking tea (05:15 in the video) - "можно попить чай" instead of "вы можете попить чай". So here I meant everyone who travels by train, that's why I used "можно". I guess it's just like "you can drink" and "one can drink" in English. Does it make any sense?:)
@klarabosak65607 жыл бұрын
Real Russian Club yes thankyou! But what Form of "мочь" is "можно"? So what is that Form called? Thanks :)
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
it's a "предикатив". you can use it as "можно - нельзя" or "можно что-то сделать" (meaning the ability to do something)
@klarabosak65607 жыл бұрын

Can somebody tell me what's the difference between поезд and электричка? Is электричка electric train?
@RealRussianClub7 жыл бұрын
there are many differences (how they work, how they look, etc.), but the main difference is that поезд is for a long distance and электричка is for a short distance. For example, thousands of people use электричка to go to work everyday. But to travel from Moscow to St. Petersburg we need поезд. If you know Russian, read this article: thedifference.ru/otlichie-poezda-ot-elektrichki/

What is the highest speed of Russian train?
@misha93620017 жыл бұрын
It's Saspan running between Moscow and Saint Petersburg,about 250 km/h by using German-made Siemens Velaro Rus series EMUs as the rolling stock. It helps the running time shorten from 8 hr to 4.5 hr.
