実は、地元でも流鏑馬がありました。城址公園では女性も含め参加し、駆け抜ける姿に興奮しました。鎌倉は姉妹都市です。馬を育てている場所もあり、たくさんの方々が参加しました。コロナ渦も落ち着いてきたので、再開するかもしれません。また見てみたいです。

同じ鎌倉で鶴岡八幡宮で流鏑馬が見られますよ。八幡宮の横にある中学校に通っていたので流鏑馬の練習風景はよく見かけました。懐かしい。

horseback Archery 乗馬アーチェリーには参った。弓はアーチェリーとは全然異質です。そのまま　「YUMI」として英語表記してもらいたい。そして乗馬アーチェリーではなく　はそのまま　Yabusameで表記願います。ナイフと刀程違いがある。

You don't sit down in the saddle, but you stand in the stirrup amd hover a few centimeters over the saddle. This way your legs balance out the movement of the horse and your upper body doesn't move much up and down :)

@3:39. I have a question. Why do they carry the arrows on the hip? It looks very inefficient. If you pick the arrow from the hip, you'll need an extra step to reposition the fingers to the end of the arrow in order to shoot. I think a much more efficient way to carry the arrows is on your back. And you draw your arrow by holding the end of the arrow. That way your finger is already at the correct place when you draw the arrow.

I just saw these 2 different methods, and thought the other method seem so much better and logical, so I was curious. And therefore my initial question. But doesn't matter.
