This is a good video, and has some valid criticism and I’m glad it brings more awareness to this game, but there’s a few things about it that I’m assuming you missed. the Xbox 360 version is the superior version and has recently been fully preserved with all the dlc built in and made emulatable with Xenia on both pc and modern Xbox’s and has next to no visual errors. The hunt for all the dlc and assets took the real steel discord over a few years to get and the community has been booming. besides that, thanks for making this video.

Thank you for this. I should've tighten up research I bit more. I was just ignorant to the fact that xbox 360 emulation has progressed so much in recent years and I didn't even consider it a viable option heading into the video. Good to know now, though.

@@harroldinio810 Xenia was recently release for series X and therefore you can emulate the game with Xenia, I don’t know exactly how but I do know that it’s possible and that it’s been done.

I played this game a whole lot back in the day. Upgrading my bot was super addicting. I spent irl money to make him look cool. The grinding was completely fine to my teenage brain. Also I'm pretty sure I remember the taunting and winning animations being literally copy/pasted from Smackdown vs. Raw 2010

I've been playing this game on the xbox360 emulator and I'm sure that's why this popped up in my youtube feed and I really believe that a lot of these issues were mitigated on the xbox version. I have had no progression issues and with almost any bot I have been able to just find a strategy that worked against them. I'll occasionally fight to level up my speed but it usually only takes a couple fights. Another amazing thing about the game coming with all dlcs unlocked is the S tier parts you can use out of the gate if you want to. It allows you to give yourself a power bump by changing a non cosmetic part out keeping your bot looking the way you want while also allowing you to skip some of the grind if you choose to do so. Loved the video and love the game!

I remember getting this soon after the movie came out we played the demo for years in my parents basement eventually we got the dlc it was the most competitive fight nights we had at sleep overs we did tournaments with friends, custom robots, it was the coolest game as a kid my brother always beat my friends and I eventually my neighbor beat him we all started screaming and running around the room it took years he was 3 years older and understood the game more we were in grade school. Do you know how much money people would pay to see a robot hardcore match? A cyborg 619 enhanced by rockets on it's heels? A torture rack backbreaker that actually tears a robot in half?

I played this game on XBOX 360 all the time, even after it was delisted. It's a real shame we never got a full on Real Steel boxing game with a full career mode, creation suite and arcade like gameplay. And no, those mobile games (filled to the damn brim with microtransactions) don't count.

10 bucks for a game back in the xbox 360 days wasnt bad for a game like this. I remember the online,it was fun back then. I highly slept on game. The movie was fire tho, a little cheesy but still enjoyable to watch. I watched it yesterday. They sacrificed the plot for 100% game play and it worked. Games like real steel are honestly why i prefer to buy a disc version of the game.

The same situation could go for Street Fighter 6, except it has good reviews. Although The fights are a bit ridiculous and if you ever come across a roadblock, you would have to beat the boss in the most cheapest way. (Spam throws or spam your special move ex: Hadoken.) Because say you go against the cardboard combatant. You would think it’s an easy fight because you are 7 levels over him. Wrong, each punch the guy does takes like half your health off when your character’s punches feel more like a tickle to the guy.
