Holy cow X games really hit it out of the park with this one. This is how a real street comp should be, not based off video parts filmed earlier in the year, but all the contestants jamming the same area in real time. And the fact that an OG spot was brought back really makes this event shine even more. Not sure how much X Games paid the school to make it happen, but I sure do appreciate it. This is skateboarding.

I still prefer watching actual lines. But yeah this is super fun to watch. Really hope this sticks around and is utilized in other competitions as well. Honestly surprised they didn’t re-pave or resurface the landing area or something to make it smoother for them.(glad they didn’t)

Matt Berger's blunt to flip out was beautiful. Might not have been as difficult as Yoto's trick but man did it look good. I think he should have gotten silver for it.

Love to see the difference in difficulty between the park and a real street spot. A lot of these tricks would’ve been done within the first few tries at a skatepark, but you can see the difference in a spot not made for skating.

Skated a little bit in my early years. I must say that I have the upmost respect for skaters as they are made of steel! Its a life lesson.....no matter how many times you fall....get back up dust yourself off and keep grinding until to land that trick!!! The sheer determination is a force to be reckoned with! Normies dont realize A) how much it hurts each of those falls B) theres an incredible amount if physics precision needed C) boards break because theres 1500lbs of pressure per square inch on your foot with just a 8 stair D) street spots hurt more too E) switch is generally significantly harder because its your least dominant side therefore its like your favorite footballer throwing with the opposite hand Im sure theres more, just add to the list of things they need to out into perspective for normal sports people
