The reason for the slightly weird gearbox is they made it a little shorter, so it can use real length receivers, as realsword is owned by norinco who make real Aks

Got one! Wish had the chance to get the B version to add to my collection. Similar issue as the type 56 with slow trigger response and takes some getting use to with mag changes and fire selection

I agree; a real classic. Myne is also second hand and the guy shot it last 10 years ago. When I opened it, all I had to replace was a cylinder head and the piston (it uses standard pistons, but they are shaved down at the back). The only negative is the underfolding stock - it wobbles as a cats tail.

I'll bet that brush bristled to hear it was going into retirement. The RS airsoft Type 56s are great and they age well. I had read somewhere that they are actually the real steel. China had tried to sell them to the American market but an embargo prevented it, so they converted them and sold them to the airsoft market instead. I think the E&L line of airsoft AKs are made in a real steel factory, too, but i don't know if its Norinco who makes them.

Love my Type56-2, these receivers are actually Norinco stamped steel (real steel spec) hence why the gearbox is off spec. Please Luke, what bevel gear did you use?

One of 3 guns you should hpa is the svd. You can up the spring and barrel assembly and motor but the gearset is propietary so you aren't going to get the best trigger response. Its just not possibe due to it' s 4th gear.

You will not be using the G&P magazine shell, only the internals, which fit in a real shell with a bit of filing.

Is the gearbox shell used by zinc alloy?

From the colour and molding marks, yes it is. But it may using different composition than cheap china gearbox. Therefore, i expect it will last longer Edit: upon closer inspection of mine, the color different is only for outside part of the gearbox. Therefore, only finishing. Just like old deepfire gearbox. The inside is still the same color as regular gearbox. So, nothing specials

Hey Mate thx 4 ur work buddy. Got a little issue when pulling the trigger, doesn´t shoot anymore only a CLICK - when pulling. I think its a Gearjam? I tried to pull the AR Latch but it seems it doesnt work.... Can u give me a little advice what ill be missing? Cut off Lever? PS: Only SEMI (Germany) ^^
