To me having a small KZbin channel is like golf. You slice your drive, then your next shot you top the ball and it rolls 15 yards. You hook your next shot and end up with a double bogey. But what keeps you going is that one great shot where you put the ball inches from the hole for a chip in birdie. That's what is so great about the game and what keeps you going. The same with my channel. I'll have 4 videos in a row that get 300 to 500 views each. You think why am I working so hard and not getting anywhere. Then you have that one video that gets you 11k views and it makes all the work worth it. Thank you for your videos Sean.

Melissa's presence on camera while listening to Sean talk was huge. I found myself feeling warm and happy just because she's sitting there smiling and being so kind in the conversation. Her being in the video was a big value add alongside all these SeanNuggets

Being 66, I was the generation raised to say I’m fine, because believers should always be ok, even when my world would be in a difficult season. I was in my 50’s when I learned and started speaking on occasion of struggles publicly, AND sharing how God walked me through them and gave me great joy in the midst of it all. More often than not, that brings a listener into your world because they realize your world isn’t easy or perfect. And it is there that relationships begin to build and you can help even strangers in their journey. I’m glad you see the value of transparency at your age. It will serve you well. This has been a great episode. Thank you. Godspeed.

I needed this rn. I put up a video last night and thought it was going to transform my channel. Woke up to 25 views and almost broke down. Listened to this on the way to work and related heavy to everything in the first 20 min. Thanks Sean and team. I know one day this will workout.

Yo...i just went to yo channel and your videos are Heat! 🔥 🔥 🔥 No lie i can't think of why it the views/subs don't reflect. Maybe it's an SEO issue with title? Maybe you should pay that 💰 and get a channel consult from Ed from @Filmbooth, Sean here, or @Robertoblake. It's worth it cause i can tell you put some money into post-production and production to not get a consult.

If you want to be successful, you just have to find a winning combination. Being a KZbinr is like owning a business, and you need to give people content they want to see. Tough part could be starting and growing your channel, but when I did I had really good strategy (When I post something, I would use a little bit of Famester to make that content go viral immediately). So far it shows good results, especially on my Shorts channel.

I found Sean in Spring of 2016, I don't rem how many subs he had at that time, but he seemed like a long-time pro even back then! He must have had a revelation to even start a church channel at 2007, because not many were doing that. A friend at my church told me in 2014 to start a channel, but I kinda laughed it off and finally, I felt like God was nudging me to go for it in 2016 and that yes I really should start a channel. It was bit of a transition to go from viewer to creator. It was a whole new skill set. I had no idea how to edit or what to record, etc. I did grow a lot for a couple of years, but had delays here and there, but not giving up!

The part when you talked about criticism, Sean was really thoughtful. Even with almost 20K subs, my comments can run the gamut between critique to trolling. Even the critiques hurt a little sometimes because of the way people say things. But I listen though. Lately, it's been with technical issues like my audio. I believe it's improving but there are things I could do better. But either way, you can flip it and say if you're getting comments on your videos, that's a sign that you have engaged viewers. Whether it's positive or negative. Like specific things that people comment are indications of how far they got in my video. So when you view it in that way, you can't help but be encouraged.

Some really quality stuff here as always folks, always appreciate the honest approach to educating us on all things KZbin. As a newer channel, just over a month old, it's hard NOT to get jealous or frustrated at times, to realize success almost never comes over night and it requires a lot of work and commitment. Love what you do over here on this channel, you are truly doing Good Things For Good People with spreading this knowledge!

Something I need to work on is to be able to reset my mind/motivation to record when I've set aside time to produce content. I've had nights where I have multiple hours to produce content, but don't because I'm not in the right mindset due to personal issues... definitely a good takeaway for me when Sean was able to go through tough times with his wife and still be able to get in the right mindset to produce.

This was such an amazing episode. Deeply, truly, this was so impactful for me. I think this is the best content style I love from you guys. I've been building my channel for 5 years now with not as much impact as I had hope and prayed for, despite getting 1% better every upload. I'm grateful though, for how much I've grown as a creator AND as a person. This was just super impactful to see the inner workings of what this has been like for you Sean. Thank you 🙏

Sean - if you are reading this it’s never too late to take care of yourself and start strength training in small steps! I have the solution! My FiTT in 15 series is perfect for those short of time who want to feel great and feel more productive - that’s the reason why I started my channel, I am a Christian fitness content creator! This isn’t a plug i genuinely want to help! I know and resonate how challenging KZbin and life is! I started my channel in April 23 and hasn’t been easy at all but I’m passionate about fitness and how it makes people feel, this side hustle is 247 but as you have proven it has paid off and I’m so grateful for the videos, the advice and the motivation Thank you! ❤ps for the negative hurtful comments that people leave I just pray for them that will eventually understand everything we are saying and doing 🙏🏽

I appreciate his vulnerability and transparency of authenticity. We need more humility like this. That’s whew God comes into the equation. And I pray that God stays center in he and his wife’s relationship and it’s good that he can reflect to see where his priorities were not right in the past and giving his family enough quality time. My counselor would agree with me though when saying that who I would be comfortable working beside my husband all day would not be real beautiful and would be quite older. When you have a choice to choose, it makes things more of a secure situation at home.

Negative feedback is a bigger compliment than positive feedback. In today's age everyone is competing for a person's attention often spending thousands sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars for seconds of a person's time. For a person to take the time out of their day to send you feedback that is not complimentary shows a level of importance that might be subconscious or unconscious but valuable... Don't discount that value negative feedback is often the first sign of great success. Negative feedback is not an insult ignoring you or deeming you not important enough to respond to is an insult.

@ThinkMediaPodcast Sean, your story is inspiring! I feel this may be a SYNCHRONICITY, but literally the KZbin video I just watched right before this, was from The Today Show, about a new treatment for Chronic Pain, called PRT (Pain Reprogramming Therapy). It's evidence based in neuroscience and has a large study supporting high efficacy. It rewires neural pathways in the brain to de-activate pain. I wish you continued relief and success! Thanks for all your value-packed content!
