Elder Holland Quote: “That’s surely the thing God enjoys most about being God is the thrill of being merciful, especially to those who don’t expect it and often feel they don’t deserve it. So if you have made covenants, keep them. If you haven’t made them, make them. If you have made them and broken them, repent and repair them. It is never too late so long as the Master of the vineyard says there is time. Please listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit telling you right now, this very moment, that you should accept the atoning gift of the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy the fellowship of His labor. Don’t delay. It’s getting late.” [The Laborers in the Vineyard, Jeffrey R. Holland, April 2014]
James E. Faust Quote: “Ordinances and covenants help us to remember who we are and our duty to God. They are the vehicles the Lord has provided to conduct us into eternal life. If we honor them, He will give us added strength. In a world where we and our families are threatened by evil on every side, let us remember President Hinckley’s counsel: “If our people could only learn to live by these covenants, everything else would take care of itself.” [Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley (1997), 147.] Faithful members of the Church who are true to their covenants with the Master do not need every jot and tittle spelled out for them. Christlike conduct flows from the deepest wellsprings of the human heart and soul. It is guided by the Holy Spirit of the Lord, which is promised in gospel ordinances. ” [1998-A:17, James E. Faust, “Search Me, O God, and Know My Heart”]
Martin Luther Quote:, “Music is one of the fairest and most glorious gifts of God, to which Satan is a bitter enemy, for it removes from the heart the weight of sorrow and the fascination of evil thoughts.”

As I listened to your litmus test, I imagined my exhusband in line ahead of me. I felt God’s love for me and was grateful that He had blessed me with the gift of forgiveness❤️

I have a couple of comments. I watch every week, usually on my television, but today I am watching from my office computer on my lunch break. I was reading Psalms 136 today and reflecting on the difference between forever and for ever. It is subtle, but it was part of my pondering about the separation putting a different emphasis on ever. In the litmus test conversation I immediately thought of my mother. To say my mother is unkind would be an understatement. After more than forty-five years of trying to find a balance with her I had to stop for my own well-being. As John was speaking, and she came to my mind, I was satisfied that, while I might be surprised to see her, I would be happy to see that the barriers of this life had fallen away and that she was able to progress. Thank you. I truly appreciate you both so much.

Oh sister, why would you wear that t-shirt: “ The devil is a liar”? That t-shirt was not only negative, but I found it hard to even concentrate on what you were saying. Poor poor choice of apparel.

I am constantly surprised at how many people come here to negatively comment and criticize both of their appearances and clothing choices. As if that even matters. I mean really. There are three kinds of business in the world. Our business, other people’s business, and God’s business. The only one we have any control over is our own business, so we would be wise to stay out of other people’s and God’s business. I share this with love after spending too much of my own time in others business. We don’t get to decide what other people wear, but we do get to decide how we want to feel about it. If we want to focus on it and let it have control over our own emotions. Ultimately it’s own choice how we want to feel and act. There is also the option of listening to the podcast or just listening to the KZbin rather than watching, maybe that would eliminate the temptations of many people to criticize and try to influence their wardrobe choice. Maybe we can focus on the goodness and light and if we actually applied the teaching of what they are teaching there would be no comments like this and so many others focusing on something with such insignificant importance.

Please don’t criticize those who are just trying to help our lives to be better. Ashley thank you for your words. Beautifully said.
