I’m glad you guys are still on KZbin. Though I know this was recorded four years ago, it’s good to follow you again for another year. I’ve taught Sunday school for five years. I appreciate resources, such as your program, and today at Deseret book, I purchased your study journal. Looking forward to using it. Thank you for your insights!

Church members are blessed to have a prophet they can praise, worship and adore...No other religion can exalt a man to godhood...

I'm not Mormon but I have got to hand it to the Mormons--they have strong families and know how to run a household. I think this is a gift they can share with people of every faith.

Tithing is a commandment. How many commandments can you know for sure you've kept. That's tithing. Don't expect protection or abundance, know that you have kept this commandment of God.

To this day i listen to the Tennis Shoes series for fun and entertainment, often to fall asleep to, Chris Heimerdinger is a great writer and narrator. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on how God speaks to each of us individually. I love the idea of our "own language" not only being the dialect we speak, but also the ways in which we receive the Spiritual Promoting, guidance, and of course, Comfort. John, thank you So much for sharing your thoughts about how you have come to share your beliefs and testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. It caused me to think about how many times other people who choose not to believe in God or may have their own beliefs about God tend to explain how they have come to the conclusions for their own beliefs based on their own experiences that they wouldn't want to deny. In a similar way, you have chosen to believe the things that you choose to believe in (namely the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and God's Plan of Salvation) and because you have experienced this, you desire to stay true to the things you know that has happened. You have chosen to have integrity in regards to what you believe in and how you choose to live, based on those beliefs. We might be know everything, but we can believe and Trust the things that God has chosen to reveal to us, as we chose to receive God.

The traditional interpretation of Jacob 2 verse 30 as an exception to monogamy is not in harmony with the context of Jacob's message and especially the preceeding seven verses to verse 30 are all being ignored. It is an excellent example of proof texting and logical assumptions based on the apparent ambiguity of what God commands and what are the "things" they otherwise hearken to in verse 30. Here is the most accurate interpretation of verse 30 based on the context of the preceeding seven verses. Jacob 2 :30 "For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people;... (For if I am going to raise up seed unto me [righteous people] see vs 25, I will command my people to keep the laws of monogamy)see vs 27,29. ...otherwise they shall hearken unto these things." (I must give the commandment for monogamy to my people, otherwise they shall hearken unto these abominations of polgamy and other whoredoms. See vs 23,24,28)

Unfortunately, the LDS Church fails to teach the Bible's greatest promises. Namely that Christ's righteousness becomes imputed (attributed) to any one who places their full faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 4:22-25). Just as Abraham's faith was accounted to him for righteousness, so it is the case with anyone who places their faith in Christ. Faith in Christ is what justifies us fully and makes us right before God, not religious works (Ephesians 2:8-9) or the law (Galatians 2:16). Do you want to be made right before God? Trust in him alone, not a religious institution, not in works or ordinances, but in him alone. After all Christ proclaimed "It is finished!" before he died on the cross...our debt had been paid, he bore our sins on the cross not in Gethsemane (1st Peter 2:24). Any Christ that requires additional means to heaven is a false one that God warns about in Galatians 1. Trust in the authority of God's word the Bible, not in man. God bless.

Thank you so much for your service! 😊❤ I loved having the balance of skimming the surface to cover the main points of what we will be learning each week, while diving deep together to discuss Real Circumstances with Real People! It was long enough to dive into the Spirit, yet short enough to understand the main message! As much as I've also enjoyed diving deeper with Brother Halverson on his channel, "Unshaken", I really appreciate having the simple, yet Spirit felt discussions! Thank you so much Ganel-Lynn & John! 🤗♥️📜📖💒✝️🕊️

Thank you for sharing Both of your experiences. I'm so glad you, John, were able to become more prepared as a son of God. I know it's frustrating to not have your expectations in the way we think (I have struggled with feeling overwhelmed or like I've been given a curve ball more than once), but thank you for reminding me (& others tuning in), that It can be a blessing to have more time for personal development with God. Ganel-Lyn, Thank you for reminding me that I can receive blessings as I focus more on the Temple and Family History. I'm glad Indexing is included as well because even when I can't go to the Temple, I can still focus on Indexing. I remember recently when my Mom shared the news about the St. George Open House in a KZbin video. As I watched the video, I paused here and there to look at the details of each room. I paused at the baptismal font and focusing on the details on each steps and the railing around it. I pictured myself sitting down and feeling the details in the wood and just feeling the atmosphere. I then imagined a surprised and shocked matron perhaps wondering what on earth I was doing, sitting on the floor and touching the details on the steps or railing around it! Then I imagined myself telling her that I'm Trying to Feel Jesus. Sometimes I wish that the first time I went through my Endowment, that I was more focused on how I was feeling, rather than trying to remember things or focusing on extended Family that was there for me and my brother. I also sometimes wish I could could get baptized by immersion again, not just partake of the Sacrament. But then I realized that I could do Baptisms for my Ancestors in the Temple. I think because I've noticed my foundation wasn't as strong as I thought (kinda like when the saints discovered the Salt Lake City Temple Foundation after it was buried), that I've wanted to re-commit myself to Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. To know again that I believe in the Gospel I've grown up in. So thank you for this lesson, the quotes from Apostles and Prophets (ancient and modern), and for sharing your Testimonies and experiences. ❤️🙏💒✝️🕊️

Thank you for teaching me how to recognize the difference between Satan's influence versus God & Jesus Christ's Influence. I appreciate that Both of you are not afraid to address this important part of the Plan of Salvation and recognizing that "there is an opposition in All things". I loved when you mentioned that if there's a situation that I start to feel uncomfortable or unsafe, that I can call out the Name of Jesus Christ! Even if it's thinking about His Name and focusing on Jesus Christ's Name through petition and prayer. ✝️🙏❤️🕊️ This is something that I wish I could have been taught during my school days, especially in my teen & early Young Adult years in College. I realize that this answer seems like a no brainer, but I think the Church culture and environment (as well as my own understanding, or lack thereof) caused me to forget that I could always ask God to help me, even in the little things like this. Perhaps I also confused my views about how my Parents treated me, and so I thought my Father in Heaven would treat me the same way, not realizing that Jesus Christ is was trying to show me what & how Father in Heaven is, though His Love & Actions. However, I'm glad I know this now and I hope I can remember this simple way for protecting myself Physically and Spiritually.

I love that you're keeping the balance between who we strive to see ourselves as (being True followers of Jesus Christ and Father in Heaven, through the Holy Spirit) and then realizing the reality of ourselves (acting religiously pious as Pharisees and Sadducees.). I'm glad you balance Mercy with Justice and applying both aspects of our character: spiritually minded child vs carnally minded child.

Thank you for not only sharing your passion for these scriptures in Isaiah, but also using "much boldness" in preaching the Word of God! It reminds me of the many Prophets in The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, who taught with much boldness unto their own people. Like the Prophet Jacob (Nephi's brother), Abinadi, and Alma the Older & Younger. Also, great Men like Captain Moroni and Pahoran during the War for Godly Freedom chapters! After learning more about Isaiah this year, I have grown to understand and love God's message to His People! I'm glad you're also helping call ourselves out in these latter days. I feel like we here in America especially need the reminders to Awaken unto God! I hope that with the Lord's help, I can have the balance of His Corrections & Love! 😊❤
