I have both natural and lab diamonds. And i prefer lab. I can’t tell the difference so I don’t see the point paying natural diamond price. Everyone I know who got engaged recently went for 2ct+ lab diamond.

My aunt: *sees my 2.26 carat moissanite and starts hyperventilating* My aunt: but…that’s a diamond? Me: it’s a moissanite My aunt: oh. So it’s fake. Me: it’s a gemstone but it’s not a diamond. My aunt: oh. I loved moissanite when I got my ring and I thought I could handle the comments from people but I can’t. So I ordered a lab diamond after having my ring for 1.5 years. I might have to deal with some comments/assumptions from people for having a lab too, but at least it’s still a diamond. I didn’t shout from the rooftops that I had a moissanite but I noticed certain women would freak out and almost interrogate me about it, and I wasn’t going to be dishonest because I can tell the difference.

I admit that I wear moissanite. I'm obsessed! The funny thing is, my friends insist they are real and I should be careful wearing them! I mean yes, they are real gemstones that test as diamonds, but not diamonds in and of themselves. I adore them all! Diamonds, moissanites and lab diamonds alike. I wear them every day even when I sleep. They are all so special. Enjoy yours!

"I completely understand your perspective and respect a person's individual choice, but for me personally, I would never buy my wife lab-grown diamonds. It’s not about judgment-it’s just that I see something truly magical in the natural formation of diamonds. They’re an extraordinary creation, billions of years in the making, carrying the energy and blueprint of the universe. To me, that natural process connects the diamond to the wearer in a profound way that a lab-grown stone simply can’t replicate. For us, the connection through a natural diamond symbolizes something timeless and unique-just like our bond. Of course, if someone is looking for stunning, high-quality stones at a more affordable price, lab-grown diamonds are a great option. But for me, it’s about more than just the beauty; it’s about the story, energy, and depth behind the stone."

I literally have them all and wear them every day! I mix and match too. Everyone should wear what they enjoy and they are all special! Right now, I'm wearing my 25 carat princess moissanite ring with micro-hidden halo set in platinum with my 18k white gold spacer band and my 18k white gold 5 carat oval moissanite five stone half-eternity band.

I wear both natural and lab diamonds. I don’t really have anywhere to go this morning, so I’m gonna go put my lab diamond on and wear it around the house in silent rebellion.😂😂 I’ll never understand the whole natural vs lab beef. To each his own. Geez!! And might I add, you look so elegant and posh in this ivory and matching the set. It all comes together so nicely.🥰

Bonnie, thank you for educating the trolls that they are both diamonds! My original 1 carat marquis engagement ring is a natural diamond and my 25th anniversary 2 carat radiant is a lab diamond. I love them both equally; not because one is lab or natural but because of the meaningful significance of what they represent, the time/thought that was put into them, and the magical love behind it.❤ Yes I love beautiful shiny jewelry but I wish that some people don’t lose sight of what’s truly important here and that is the ring’s representation of their love together when they wear it. Can’t we all just be happy for each other and stop the comparisons?

I used to buy a lot of cheap mass produced silver rings for myself but over the years really started to appreciate the craftmanship of actually well crafted items by juwelers. Not only is it the little details, its also the wear and tear. Will prob replace my whole collection with better quality over the next years

I have earth mined and lab grown. Just want to say that both types are carbon based diamonds as per the FTC, which most people know by now. The fact that lab growns are legally recognized and verified to be carbon based diamonds is a bigger deal to me personally than whether it is earth mined or lab grown. In a setting both types look great to me but I have to admit that my lab grown diamonds are of higher quality in the four C's and it is obvious in comparison. Also, in buying lab grown diamonds I have saved a ton of money up front as opposed to what I would have had to spend buying earth mined.

@ByBonnieJewelry Some people have WAY too much time on their hands if their role in life is to bash people's jewelry choices! One thing I will say, since you mention designer bags, is that is a totally different issue. If someone loves designer bags and chooses to buy a generic brand that resembles say a Birkin, that's one thing. If they buy a counterfeit Birkin we're talking something else. Counterfeits are illegal. "Look-a-like" bags are not. Sometimes I wonder if people confuse lab grown diamonds thinking they're "counterfeits" of some type. Uh, no. They're not counterfeit. Lab grown diamonds are indeed diamonds, just from a different "manufacturer" than natural diamonds. At the end of the day, lab or natural, diamonds are beautiful. Your jewelry is even more beautiful because of the craftsmanship. I'm a stickler for that myself. 😉
@nikkil7649 күн бұрын
I have both and wear both. I prefer natural diamonds because they are a store of wealth like precious metals. The markup on jewelry is extremely high but a natural diamond does still have greater value. If you want a multigenerational piece of art, then buy natural. I love my grandmother’s ring from the 1920s best even though it’s a smaller stone than mine. If you want a piece of fashion jewelry, then may as well get lab grown. Also, get a travel ring that is lab grown to wear in the city.

Everyone can and should make their own choice, knowing the facts. The difference is mined diamonds are made by the creator whereas lab diamonds are man made and mass produced. I prefer mined diamonds knowing that I have something one of kind made by the creator. Also something big to consider is a lab diamond does not hold any value, and cannot be pawned ( how many people who sell jewelry tell you this?). A mined diamond will always have value. It's similar to buying art, when you buy a mass produced art piece well it doesn't hold much value, but when you buy a one of a kind art piece made by an artist its price can go way up in value depending on the piece. Lets be nice to one another and respect everyones decision once they know the facts.

It’s definitely not appropriate to judge others for their choice. You don’t know their financial situation or their values. By suggesting a marriage can fail based on the stone chosen is a really bad marketing campaign. Personally, I am not a fan of lab grown due to the loss in value of the item. If I’m spending thousands on a gem then I want it to at least retain its value and not just be beautiful, but that is my decision. It’s not my place to say others should avoid lab grown.

Bonnie let's be honest here, you're clearly on the natural diamonds team. All of your personal engagement rings are natural. I agree, natural vs lab doesn't determine the success of one's marriage. I understand that lab is part of your business, but don't go telling people that lab is the same as natural. In a few years, lab diamond jewlery will be so prevalent, they will basically be considered costume jewlery
@ByBonnieJewelry7 күн бұрын
Yes, I do prefer Natural Diamonds for my engagement rings, and I have some non-engagement ring pieces that are lab-grown, mostly used for travel. My personal preference for what I wear shouldn’t influence someone else’s decision to buy one over the other. The choices are available-each to their own!

Natural diamonds are not rare and value is artificially inflated with highly questionable business and labor practices ( child labor, blood diamonds). Lab give you the sparkle at the fraction of the price and is just better production methods.
