Probably the best advice I’ve ever heard. Jason, your talents only start with your photography. Your insight and ability to “just talk real” are truly exceptional and so appreciated.

Hi Jason. Your approach to dealing with anxiety is really good. What you are practicing (whether you know it or not) is Exposure Therapy, the gold standard treatment for anxiety. Moving INTO it and staying in the situation until you calm down and habituate. Most people try to push anxiety away, which only intensifies it. (The law of reversed effect). People have to WANT their anxiety for it to diminish. Two books that might help your son are "Stopping the noise in your head" By Reid Wilson, and "The anxious Brain" by Catherine M Pittman PhD. Hope this helps.

Dude, I just watched your Burke idaho video and I am astonished you are still riding with the fedora. That was lame 7 years ago and here you are still sending it! Amazing.

If I'm looking for a second photographe for weddings I will completly ignore anyone who only has workshop photos. I'm looking for someone who can show me they can shoot in the tough enviroments. I don't need to see a wedding portfolio. Show me photos you've taken at live events, bands playing in dark bars, festivals, sports. Anything that can show me you can handle those types of fast-paced enviroments, shows me you'll be useful at a wedding. Someone who only has workshop photos just shows me that they know how to click a button when someone else has set it all up for them.

I’ve done a few weddings for free as a wedding gift for my family and friends. They love my photography skills and it gives me a chance to learn more. I have my nephews wedding coming up in the fall and looking forward to getting some really good shots. Maybe you could critique some of my photos and give me some advice.

One of the sources of anxiety is the fear of the unknown. Weather it is new gear or old. Or experienced people or noobs.

I think when people say anxiety, there is also a bit of “imposter syndrome”.
