Real talk - Queen fans and more

It’s imperative that you’re always just honest, plain and simple. And the fan bases of artists, who look at their artists as sacred cows, should get over themselves. Our tastes are all quite different; the world would be a dull, dreary place otherwise. I like a lot of Queen, but not all of it, by any means. I don’t own anything of theirs and never have. Just remember that it isn’t your job to please others - just do you. As to the trolls: block them. I rarely get shitheads in my comments fields, but when I do, they’re banned. One strike and they’re out. That said: there is a Queen song I LOVE that I’d like to see you react to. And if you disliked it, or anything else I do like, I wouldn’t mind. But keep doing what you’re doing; yours is the best reaction channel I’ve found.

I have to listen to Queen everyday because they make me happy. I guess us Queen fans are just protective of them. I think you're the only reactor that hasn't been impressed by them. Everyone else thinks they're F'ng AMAZING! 😉 Anyway, keep your chin up and ignore the hateful comments. ❤🌹❤🌹

I'm a Queen fan, but you are entitled to your own opinions about any kind of music. In fact, isn't that why we watch reaction video's - to hear opinions? I'm really shocked this happened to you, and I'm really sorry to hear that! The person that reacted that way must be a very frustrated person themselves! Tssss... Hang in there Sir, this time will pass and if you keep on working on that depression you will end up in a better place, and stronger than ever. I respect the authentic reactors who are on a journey, enjoying vicariously their (supposedly) initial reaction to the music I grew up with. The obviously fake reactors who overact and gush about every song they review are not very interesting to me. So do what you've been doing, and forget about the incels in their basements. I LOVE QUEEN! But I know many people who can take them or leave them. Some reactors exaggerate their reactions and people get used to that so they almost expect everybody to react the same. BORING. Thank you for your legit reactions. I can really tell you are focused when listening to the music - much appreciated! Don’t let this become another stressor for you - not worth it. Ok... I understand some Queen fans go overboard. But what you dont realize is that to us, queen isn't JUST a band. For me, their music is my peace. I put them on, and it puts a smile on my face. Every. Single. Time. Freddie is special to alot of people. Queen affects people on a soul level. If you dont feel it, then that's you. This band has pulled me out of many anxiety attacks and Freddie's smile and voice sparks something inside me that makes me feel alive. You're entitled to your opinion. I personally think the Beatles are overrated but they're loved by millions. Ignore the haters but keep in mind that Queen isn't just music to us. It's a way of life.

EVERYTHING is a way of life to someone. Walking on eggshells with one’s opinions, in deference to a fan base - especially in an instant reaction - would be the definition of disingenuity. Books are my thing, and I fairly worship Charles Dickens. I have friends who can’t even get through one of his novels. And they lose nothing whatsoever in my esteem of them. If you had a channel and were - to Matt’s mind - overly dismissive of something that brings him peace, would it be fair of him to unsubscribe to your channel on that basis? It might be fair, but it would be myopic, petulant and childish. If his channel has more to offer than only a validation of your love of Queen, why not stick around? And if you must go, why not go without an announcement or fanfare?

Aimless Matt .... Dreadful to hear some idiot (s?) would say such an awful thing. However I am not happy to hear you specifically come and put down the band because of those irresponsible fools. If you suffer from a condition as you mention then maybe this isn’t an ideal place because there are too many trolls and negative people here. Of course I don’t agree with you and having seen Led Zep, Jethro Tull, Foreigner, AC/DC, U2, BOC, Rush, Genesis, Deep Purple, Rainbow etc during my youth (mid 70’s onwards) ... one band live hands down beat all of them and that was Queen .... and I wasn’t an ardent Queen fan back then either. It’s just Queen gave us a full experience which we were made to feel part of rather than standing up there “being rock idols” ... that got tired pretty quick. We are all entitled to our opinions and they are based on what we know at that point in time. Hope it works out for you

Look we all have our opinions, wether you like other bands live perfomances is totally your choice and I won't attack you for that. Everyone will not like the same thing. Look and compare Queens popularity too other bands, most of these bands we have not even heard before, more people can relate to Queen than other artists. Also what I would suggest is react to more Queen songs, and live performances to get the bigger picture.

It seems you like a specific type of music..so maybe be true to the stuff you like and enjoy. Granted it is is a reaction channel, but you need to enjoy it also. Maybe dedicate your channel to reactions of specific types of music. In your case maybe that will actually help with your channel and get it the direction you want it to go. Maybe even venture into different reaction videos also. Not being flippant, honestly trying to think of ideas. I like to see everyone succeed in their endeavors. Queen is a strange kind of band in that they didn't REALLY fit into any one type of music. So a lot of people who only like maybe more of a rock feel, may not like the songs they did that aren't really rock. They were not a hard rock specific band. If that makes any sense. Queen is my overall fav , i like the diversity, but there are even songs of theirs I don't really care for. And to be realistic that is true for most Queen fans. But you do have the "fanatics" out there. But I have seen fanatics with other bands as well. And some just like to go on as many channels as possible to rant. Personally I don't care if there are some you don't really like, eh so what. In the end it is just a song etc. More important things to stress over than silly stuff. And I don't remember you saying you didn't like Queen in general. To be honest all bands have better moments than others. This coming from a Queen fan. Live Aid is iconic to many, and because of the time. And yes they performed better than most others that day. But as a fan my personal fav was their concert at Wembley, and some may boo me for that. Everyone has their opinions, and no one should be attacked or put down for them. And I think it is time consuming to "sweat the small stuff" In the end it is your channel, so do you. All I can say.. But please don't lump all fans of ANY band as a collective, based on a few. And don't let the negative affect and sour how you react to people by lashing out. Because they don't care. It will only effect you in the end. Good luck in the future. :)

You can say what you want to say because its your channel. You will now lose alot of subscribers for talking trash about QUEEN. QUEEN was voted the greatest live band ever. FREDDIE MERCURY was voted to be the greatest frontman ever. BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY has been voted as the best song ever. BORHAP has been viewed on KZbin over 1 BIILLION times more than any other song in history. Not the mention thar BRIAN MAY just this summer was voted by Total Guitar as the greatest guitarist ever. So if this is all true I challenge you to show me anybody else that even comes close to this. Oh and one more thing. QUEEN is the only band to have all four members to have written number one hits. Sorry that you got slammed on these coments about QUEEN but you are still trashing QUEEN and they have such a huge following of people all over the world. The point of a reaction channel is to react to whatever genre of music you desire or want to learn more about. Then the idea is to get as many subscribers as possible because they enjoy your reactions to certain music!! You started to tap into the Queen music catalog cuz I’m assuming you wanted to learn more about them. Queen fans (including myself) are very devoted to Queen & Freddie so you need to remember that most Queen fans have been “Queenies” since the 70’s. We get very excited when a new generation wants to learn more about Queen & yes, we can get pretty excited about Queen & everything they’ve accomplished. I think maybe the problem might have been with Queen fans is that you began to compare Queen to other bands & Freddie to other frontmen. Kinda of scaling Queen down cuz they didn’t meet the standards you expected. That’s okay ..... And another thing I want to point out is that I’ve seen reaction channels purposely do a couple Queen songs just to get the Queen subscribers (Queen does have a lot of subscribers) then stop reacting to Queen. If you did one Queen song per day it would take you a year to get thru their catalog. Sorry about what happened but you’re telling Queen fans that Queen is mediocre!! THAT’S NOT TRUE!
