Why would you listen to hate coming from a bunch of 11-year-olds. Clearly, they know nothing. They are just trolling you. Keep up the great work on your channel! Your channel rocks!!!!!

I'd agree. The Ol' 1911 pays way too much attention to haters. Even if all of the vitriol he talks about is 100% true as described, who cares? There are way too many people out there who only live to push other people's buttons and will lie or say whatever to achieve this. Trolls merit exactly zero attention. It's your own damned money, do whatever you want with it; you should not need validation one way or another with how you spend it

Well said. These and similar revolvers are like Porsches to me. You have to be willing to go down the rabbit hole to truly understand them all, but when you know, you know. 👍👍

Sphor, Manhurin, and korth Id be happy with either. Whichever would be my luxury bbq gun. People hating are basically arguing Ferrari vs lambo

As an MR73 owner, I can tell you that it is the highest quality revolver I have ever seen. For frame of reference, I also own a 1965 Python. The Python is wonderful, but not as nice as the MR73. My old Smith and Wesson revolvers? Wonderful guns, but not as nice as the MR73. My only negative for the MR73 is very much a personal issue. The grips do not work well for me. Most people love them. I replaced mine with Nill grips and I am thrilled with them. Thousands of magnum rounds later, I am very happy with my MR73. You do have to realize that it is precisely fitted and requires regular cleaning, but if you drop 3K on a firearm, I hope you have enough sense to maintain it. Ignore the trolls. They don't own one.

Spohr’s are as good as advertised. I bought a 284 a couple months ago for $2,900 and at that price point, it feels very much worth it. Everything about it is a huge step up from the mass produced revolvers I own, and it put’s my S&W performance center’s to shame. I also own an Mr73 and a TK Custom tuned 627, and the Spohr shoots just as well as either of those, while having much nicer grips and sights. For the price, it’s really is a great deal. The import process was no different than buying any other gun online.

I have lost interest in them but... maybe I will get back into trying to get the 283 Carry. Was interested in the Club Edition but not anymore. The individuals I have talked to about the import process all have told me it was not as smooth. One individual stated it took about 5 months to finally get his? While another guy told me he tried to cancel his order as it was going on 4 months and he found something else he wanted and they would not cancel. I believe he finally got his 6 months later. I think Spohr needs to link up with a US firearms manufacturer and use them as the sole importer. I am not clear is there any "inventory" available now? I was told yes but when I reached out to someone they told me no have to put in the order and wait. One individual on here has the 284 Carry and offered to sell it to me at a heavy discount but he admitted it has a ton of rounds through it and wear and was a 'test' gun. I did say I would be interested but the guy disappeared on me (no replies). ah well.

@@TheOl1911 that’s very strange. I reached out to their importer, chose and paid for the one I wanted, waited 2 months, and went and picked it up from my ffl just like any gun I’ve ever purchased online. With everyone so afraid to get one, sounds like I might have a rare bird on my hands. Happy to chat with you about it further if you change your mind.

I own three Korth revolvers one in 44 mag and two in 357/38. I've owned my NXS the longest and I have lost count of how many rounds I have shot through that revolver but its well into the 1500-2000 round mark and 90 percent of it is full power magnum loads. It hasn't skipped a beat in all those rounds and It is in my regular carry rotation along with a Nighthawk Commander in 10mm. There is something about the SPOHR revolvers that isn't appealing to me. I can't really say for sure what it is either I think it's mainly aesthetics but cant say for sure. I have a friend who is also a fan of the higher end firearms trying to get one so I am excited to see and shoot one but until he has one in hand I'll stick with Korth.

Thanks for the insight. I kinda go back and forth with the 283/4 Carry model. Something about it just doesn't stick. A few people behind the scenes have told me to not get a Spohr stating it's very similar to a Performance Center 686 with no MIM with some different options. Not sure.... Would love to see a Club Edition 3.0 owner make a video but I don't think there is one yet in the USA!?

@@TheOl1911 I get what you’re saying. For me I have no issue spending the money for a higher end firearm but there is just so little info/reviews of what you get for buying the Spohr that I don’t see myself ever buying one. For me aesthetics wise they look like a combination of what S&W offers and like a Taurus model 66. Some say the Korths look cheap and while I can kind of see there point I know what Korth offers and what I’m getting when I buy one. I think if I was going to buy another non Korth revolver it would be the MR73 strictly due to the history and PROVEN track record of what that revolver has done. I’ve found though in years on the internet and with items that would fall under the category of “high tier/expensive” there always a group of people that will shit talk them when in reality they will probably never handle one or even see one. Sounds like you’re already hesitant on buying one and when I’m in that situation I listen to my gut feeling.

Nightwood Guns here on KZbin has a video on the Spohr 283 Carry, if you're interested... I have it saved; haven't watched it yet. Supposedly it's really good. It's 100% forged; no MIM internals. He may be an actual owner - but I'm unsure about that. It's way out of my price range, lol.

Yes i was directed to that video. I don't know...I didn't get a good sense from the vid. I wish someone that truly owned one or even carried one would make a vid. Behind the scenes a handful of people have told me to pass on the Spohr. They dare not post it publicly they said, hahahaha. So not sure now. A lot say it's a S&W Performance Center with no MIM and some other options. This is the 284 Carry model. So on the fence now. I wish there were some owner vids on the 3" Club Edition.

Guns are the last stand against the universal Dollar General standard. It is great to still have overtly well-made, proudly made, and almost jewel like guns. It is delightful to have guns from all forms, be that simple and dependable glocks/M&P's, to stuff like Korths or Spohrs. High value priced and expensive alike there is room for all guns! I have no idea why people constantly crap on guns or the people who buy them. I have found over the last 13 years of gun ownership is that the people that talk some big talk and snuff their nose at others have no f***n clue what they are talking about and shoot very, very little.

Is your MR 73 a current production model? Curious to know if it is better to look for an older one when it's time to grab one.

I have a spohr 284 and korth mongoose. From reading I thought the spohr would be a step above the korth. In my sample, I believe the korth is higher quality. Edit: I wish I had gotten the club edition. It appears to be higher quality.

@@TheOl1911 I actually got it off gunbroker. There were about 11 when I got it and only 2 club editions. While the process is much easier then importing, it’s a gunbroker transaction so it’s a different pain in the ass. I cannot say I know for sure, but I imagine the club edition is higher quality. That’s not to say the carry is not a high quality revolver. I think it’s closer to Korth than a “high end” smith or colt…much closer. I used to have a 3” mr73 before beretta came into the picture and I believe it to be higher quality then the carry spohr. It also “feels” more substantial than my mongoose but that’s pretty subjective. I really wish I spent the money on the club because I THINK it’d be a better comparison to the OG mr73 and mongoose. Now I’m in a position that I can’t look at the club edition unless I sell something. The spohr carry does have a trigger that is almost as smooth and clean as the Korth. I can’t compare it to the 70’s python because those just feel different. I only have precisely 100rds through it so far so I don’t know how much it will clean up. My intention is to wait til things get better but if they don’t soon enough, I’d sell it to fund a club edition.

@@digitalpunk5365 Sounds like the Importer has 'inventory' then?? I was under the assumption they were importing them 1 at a time. This is very valuable info on the 284 Carry so I appreciate it. This is all good food for thought!

@digitalpunk5365 If you wish the 284 was the club edition, it would make sense to sell that. You could more than likely get at least what you paid for it. Then, ponying up only the difference would make the CE feel like it cost a little less. Bam, problem solved. No charge. The first one is free.

I feel like alot of these people on these forums saying ther firearms fell apart in ther hands in less than 500 rounds are a bunch of bullshitters that never even owned the firearm they are talkin crap about... i know not every firearm is perfect ( speaking from experience) but ive never had a firearm just break apart for no reason.
