Appreciated your honesty Tom. Frankly, Universal doesn't do anything for me compared to Disney. Tried watching several live streams from various vloggers to see if I was missing anything. I think NOT! Thats REAL talk🤨

I think the biggest thing universal has going for it is Halloween Horror Nights. It’s unique and a ton of fun. The biggest gripe I have about universal is the damn lockers. They completely taint the experience for me most of the time. Hope you’re doing well, and maybe I’ll see you at work again... soon? Who knows

Thank man! I’m lucky to be able to do this stuff full time. I’ve heard great things about HHN and maybe I’ll check it out one day, there is just something seriously missing over there. I’ll be back to work maybe, not sure yet. Might try to keep one day a week for the benefits and to see everyone.

I’m with you Hagrid es good, not shure for 4 hours wait ( in december had it) but Universal does not make you fill inside the history, Rise of the Resistance for me as a SW geek blow my mind ( even that the wait was crazy in New Years ) and Pandora fligth is the best Ever! Diagon Alley, the Mummy, Spiderman, Hulk and the ride in Hogwarts are pretty much the only reason I would return to Universal. For the ticket price, certainly not enough to justify. There's a reason I keep returning to Disney. Universal just doesn't provide the same level of experience.

If I ever live in Florida, which I probably will one day, I’m going with universal, Bc I really like Hollywood studios but I can’t see my self going to Disney all the time. I can do to a universal park for half a day, get some dinner, and go see a movie, and then go back home. Universal has more thrill rides, and they’re not far very apart, so could save some time compared to Disney. I admit that Disney has some good stuff, like Star Wars galaxys edge and the new stuff coming to EPCOT, but I will always be more of a universal fan, simply Bc they have more thrill rides, butter beer, and they’re closer together.

I thought about getting an annual pass for Universal while also having an annual pass to Disney but I don't live close and when I think about driving 2 hours to get there, I'd rather be driving those two hours to go to Disney then Universal. At some point I might get a Universal Annual Pass but for now I am just so much more thrilled with Disney. You never know one of these days I might just go for a day to Universal because I have only gone twice, once in 8th grade and then for grad Bash and I enjoyed both times going and I would love to experience some of the new rides. I don't see myself going on the Hulk anytime soon because that looks like a crazy roller coaster and I'm a scaredy-cat and the only way I could see people getting me on that ride is if they had me blindfolded all day and never let me know when I was going to be on that ride and taking my blindfold off just beforehand. I would love to explore Harry Potter more & some other things there but let's face it Universal can't compare to Disney.

Agree with you on so many things. My biggest problem with Universal was the screens. Too many simulated attractions. I can ride thrill rides like roller coasters but that old school forbidden journey gives me slight motion sickness. Unbelievably Kong almost made me queezy also. Suese ride was old and outdated. Very plain. Jurassic is definitely one of my favorite attractions and I am not a Huge Harry Potter fan but that’s the best themed area for sure. Universal just lacks that let me pull your heart strings kind of a feel. Nothing like seeing and hearing happily ever after. Honestly you just can’t compare. Not saying I would never ever go there again. But not even close to Disney standards. But,,, I will say I have heard Volcano Bay is super. So I’m anxious to see your reaction.

Screens are not a problem per se as long as they are part of a mix. But Universal went overboard with them! Nearly every ride is screen based, it feels like once you've done one ride, you've done them all. And apart from the HP areas, and to a lesser extent Jurassic Park, the theming is not great. The Marvel area is not immersive at all, the cartoon island just sucks, and the whole of Universal Studios park is just buildings. Give me a mix of animatronics, screens and immersive environments please - Disney excels at this, Universal is lagging behind. Some great rides though! But even the staff are just there to do their jobs, the difference with Disney cast members is night and day. There's a reason why Disney rules the theme park world, and Universal is in a (very distant) second place.
