I really appreciate this review, Dave. I have been running my Tactacam since I got it in the Al's Outdoors auction. It works great, but by no means does it have the options of this camera! One huge con for me is the SD Card. Without it, a camera is useless to me. I understand that with my unlimited plan, I get all my pictures and videos sent straight to me but I still like a back up card I can just swap. Another Con (with most cameras) is the fact that The Company's branding is on every picture and video. That should be optional if you ask me! I've bought the camera, that means it's no longer theirs. But that will never change, I'm sure. I do have a couple without Company branded pictures, and I like that, simply Date, Time, Temperature, and My Information.

Great insights. I do like the option to pull an sd card (I also like a key to start my vehicle vs a button to push 😜) but I’m slowly learning to like the built in memory. It does eliminate potential problems. I appreciate you watching and sharing your experience 👍

How's she goin'? Wow talk about a 'smart' camera eh!! This will do everything but the dishes. I have a security camera that I can select active zones on and that sure helps with false triggers. But tis camera seems to be a generation or 2 ahead of that!! Thanks for showing us what it can do Dave and take care.

Just got my Edge Pro and it's my first trail cam. Only testing at the house so far. Thank you for this review, it's the only review that confirmed you don't get a high res photo in photo + video mode, been driving me crazy trying to figure out how to get both. I agree with you, I would like to have both a high res photo and HD video, I wonder if the Edge 2 Pro has that as an option.

if it can't detect a golf cart ?, then it surely won't detect a person on an atv ridding up to your area where your cam is, although, you could set it to detect a person i guess..hmmm.

I've got two Moultrie cameras and the only thing I don't like is that it only download twice a day. So let's say you're walking into your stand and you've got deer around your stand you won't know it until later in the day when it downloads the pictures. I really wish if it took a picture it would send it straight to your phone right then

You can adjust that in your settings. Go to “General Settings” and then change “Upload Frequency” You can set it to “Immediate” for the fastest uploads. Keep in mind this setting can reduce your battery life. Thanks for watching my video 👍

But its revived my life some. I had an incident that made me unable to draw a bow so my hunting is done. I was bow only. I've held off getting it. Was on sale for 90 bucks. Just for every good review it's one that says batteries last 2 weeks. I have 21 tactacams and no issues so far. The no memory card doesn't bother me either. I just want photos sent to my phone not worried about reviewing them on a sd card later. I'm gonna wait and see but for me I'll keep using my tactacams. Batteries last insanely long so far also. Unless something happens I'll probably just stick with tactacams. But the 99 each deal was tempting. No way I would pay the retail price for it though and need 20 of them. Lol

Thank you for the informative review. I like you would be disappointed if the pic/video option were really only video and a thumbnail. When you review the solar panel, I hope you will provide any additional info you find on the video/thumbnail topic. With all the positive features, I don’t think the built in SD card and the video/thumbnail topic would stop me from buying these. My biggest concern is I live out of state from where the cameras would be used. I need the most reliable camera. Any recommendations?

I just ordered one with the lithium battery on Amazon for $180! We have limited access to the property and won't see it until August so we will add the 10w solar panel. I have the 2 of the edges and with the battery pack have over 3000 pictures checking in twice a day. And the battery is still at 70 percent very impressive to me.

i don't think any trail cam is lockable ?, and even if it was ?, all a thief would have to do is cut the strap. if you are worried about someone stealing it ?, then set it up high, use para cord instead of the strap, all the strap does is make it stick out more. in order to cut down on it being stolen ?, you must think like a thief.
