Thank you very much for the review, Nicole! I just released a new version of the plugin that notifies you when someone else joins. It also has the option to join a session from within Obsidian, so you don't have to use the web editor, if you have Obsidian yourself.

Thanks for this, Nicole! Just a quick note, to underscore what Dominik wrote in his reply (which I didn't see at first): it is so cool that it is now possible to join a peer-to-peer session from within your Obsidian vault. Once the host-collaborator shares the URL with the guest-collaborators, the guest-collaborators can open an Obsidian vault on their own computer (as long as the Peerdraft plugin is installed), run the "Join shared session" command, and then paste the URL at the prompt. This is a game-changer! Keep in mind, though: it's a good idea for collaborators to use the "Pin" command to make sure that the collaborative session stays open; otherwise, if you switch to another note, and try to switch back to the collaboration, the session will end.

I've been kind of binge watching your videos lately for some of the plugins I love your stuff. However The version of obsidian I have is 1.5 and a lot of good videos are for 1.4. which leads me to have a couple questions such as what's the difference between front matter and properties or do I still need Templater if Quickadd now has the function to create new files with templates...idk if you can do an update video on some of these changed functions. Plz?? 😂

Collab work is the only think i still use notion for... It's as easy as gdocs, but with many more functionalities and different ways to organize notions "vault". The (huge) downside is that you have a very strict way to reference the note/project/canva/etc within your obsidian vault in my case, just posting the link and embed into the note using the properties to detail things like: Who i shared with, what is the "project", stage of work, etc... That means it is harder to blend the work being done in notion, into obsidian PKM. But i do hope someday obsidian finds a native way to do that in a good way (and for free)...

Hi. I am the developer of peerdraft. What do you mean exactly? The content synchronization is p2p (WebRTC). The "via" you may mean is only about exchanging the network information the peers need before they can establish the connections in the first place (signaling). The peers must know about eachother somehow.

Afaik, every p2p function on any digital collab space needs a "via."
