Thank you. So much of the Obsidian for TTRPG content focuses on making it look like a gaming product. That's cool, but ends up being a distraction for me. I've been using Obsidian for a few months now with some of your quickadd and templater tricks, and it has been a game changer (literally). I have some to learn and a lot of data to migrate, but the benefits are obvious with just my session notes in the app.

Question: Anyone knows a way to migrate in a sane way from Notion to Obsidian?
@PyMastersplКүн бұрын
Well, in Notion you can create l inks to pages from page so this is a way to put data in multiple folders.

They dataview query only shows todays tasks... so yesterdays notes will show todays tasks.. To me that isn't really useful. specifically if you go to a journal entry of the past.. you will see todays tasks. Can the query be updated to reflect the title of the note? Then it would always show the tasks that were assigned to that day. I love your vids, btw

Very well done video for the neophyte (which I am with this program). I look forward to checking out some of your other videos on Obsidian. I've been looking for a great note taking app that can save files to my local drive and Obsidian has just become the number one contender as I explore it beyond the basics.

This is what happens when you go around country shopping. Filipinos love doing that. No country has the obligation to accept other people. You’re not even proud of your own country and culture, why would other people want to accept people like you into their society? 😂

Always try to find your way. By no means of offense towards her video, I just searched for the keyword "KZbin" in the community plugins, downloaded and enabled the one that seemed to be doing what I wanted to do, and after 5 minutes of trying to understand how it works, I have a frame displaying the KZbin video in a playable way inside my notes right now. It was way more efficient and rewarding to accomplish it than watching this 20-minutes video.

I am afraid you chose the wrong province for a positive dutch experience. Limburg is notorious in the Netherlands for sticking to it's own people. I know people from the north married to people from Limburg who have never felt accepted. One of them told me: "if I go into a restaurant for a reservation it is likely that they will tell me the place is full. if my husband from Limburg goes in afterward there turns out to be a place after all." I have had similar experiences in Maastricht, some people were weirdly agressive when we came to close. And especially towards the friend I was with, who is half Indonesian. Your experience would have been very different in a bigger city in the west

I feel like Obsidian makes me scared to write notes sometimes. The more notes I add, the more difficult it feels to restructure them all. So, i genuinely feel like i need a really good system before committing to anything or else reorganizing will be a pain later on. Do any of you feel similarly?

I've changed over to using this method and it's amazing. Only curiosity that I haven't been able to figure out yet is how to see the drawings and switch between them on mobile and iPad.

I follow a similar process but use the Readwise spaced repetition to focus on just a handful (5 per day) highlights to convert to more permanent notes in Obsidian. I also like to reinforce the learning so I push (using a Python script and the Readwise API) my slip box notes back up into Readwise into a custom book that gets fed into their spaced repetition system. Thanks for sharing your process, both of these tools are incredible!

Thank you very much for your awesome tutorials. I just got started with obsidian and it really helps a lot. I got one problem with this dataview plugin though, maybe you orr someone in here can help me out: if i create a new note, on the top i have to name it. I cannot add the --- tags: ... --- section above that name of the note, just below it. So i did and when i use just one word like "tags: recipie" or "type: cooking" or whatever, the query works perfectly. BUT if I try to use multiple tags it just doesnt find anything with the query... for example if i use "tags: recipie, recipies, cooking, something" (even if I write it with tags: and than each tagword with - in a new line) no dataview results are found. Is the tagging wrong? Or do i have to change the query somehow? maybe he wants excact matches for ALL tags and not just ONE tag of the many?

Nicole I want to use Obsidian, but with Obsidian is it even possible to clip web pages and get the images? Can do this easily with Onenote. This is the thing holding me back. I dont have time to save images. And then link them into the clip. How about doing a video on this?
