Real time hair creation in blender + hair tool addon ep 4 ( Ponytail)

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make real-time hair but thought to yourself, I can't do it because it must be difficult, then you are lucky my friend.

Hello again, Tomoya. This is great. I was mainly looking for more methods of doing very long ponytails and I think the grid method might be very good to give the base shape. I've tried to place every single strand manually but it was quite atrocious. Having characters with hair that goes past the bellybutton is pure pain. Haha

Hahaha thank you karakuri! I agree, this kind of pony tail is quite convenient for rigging and animation purpose but making really long hair is a bit tricky and takes time... oh my lol

Hey thank you Majikel ! And yes it is absolutely possible. you just need to go to preference-theme and change it to the maya pre-set setting. it doesn't over write your hotkeys so don't worry.

Hey, I apologize for annoying you again. But how did you use custom hair textures with hair tools? And if I generate curves from grid mesh im not able to edit the curves

Hey no worries at all! so for the information about custom texture, you can check out "Let's make real time hair in blender + hair tool addon ep5" set up section. And for the issue you are having curves, Sorry I only know and use old version of hair tool before everything changed so I cannot help you with that.

Hi! the easiest way to change hair colour is to go to shader editor and tweak colour slider.

And since I have been making hair modelling tutorial episodes and I have already covered basic stuff for beginner in earlier episodes , and as we continue moving forward more episodes, it will only get more difficult and complex. sorry I don't think so. I think there are hundreds of beginner focused videos already on the internet but there aren't many intermediate or advanced level tutorials so I think it's better for me to create tutorial videos for people with intermediate to advanced level skill set.
