REAL-TIME Repair- Slime Tire Plug Kit - I've Never done this before!

This is the first time I've plugged a tire and I wanted to document it. I've read through the instructions and watched a few videos but I thought you may benefit from watching my experience.
I filmed most of this in real time, cutting out just a few parts. The total time took about 15 minutes. And it went easier than I expected. I'm not a professional so feel free to comment with advice, information or your own experiences if you think they'd be helpful!
Thanks!

The tire is much easier to plug with it full of air that way there is minimal flexing of the tire when you push the plug in.

Yes, that's how I do it. Set up everything so you can go from one tool to the next fast so you aren't losing air in a tire. Once I plug in mu tire still have over 50% air in It.

always over fill the tire with air, have all supplies ready to go, put out the screw or whatever, and jam the plug in really fast, then let out pressure to the right specs

Thank you, just got this done myself for the first time. As a word of advice, if the plug going in is too hard, double check you have the right angle. It was impossible until I shifted ever so slightly and then it went in much easier

Best to dry off the area first and definitely try to unscrew any screws as it will rip out the hole larger. After inserting the needle, it's best to turn the handle a quarter turn to create a "knot" inside the tyre, then yank out the needle firmly. Most bikers use these and swear by them.

Best to check the angle of the hole with a drill bit. Best to only use the fixed tyre at the rear on the passenger side because that is the typical tyre being punctured due the front tyre picking up the nail and darting into the back tyre. Rear also less weight, less steering action and less deforming on front wheel drive vehicles. I also used Loctite 567 pipe Sealant (up to 1050kPa pressure) with the same screw (or a slightly larger screw) since 4 years and still holding tyre pressure (regularly checked).

I just used the same kit this week to repair my son's tire. It worked well, but I had a heck of a time pushing in the plug! I'm pretty strong and I was pushing with all my might and it didn't want to go in. I gave up on the first one and threaded up a second after I re-reamed the hole and tested it with the insertion tool. Those went in easy, but when it came to push in the plug it was really hard. I let some air out of the tire the second time, thinking the pressure was keeping it from going in, but it was still hard. It finally went in after extended pressure on it. I think it had to ease itself in or something. Once it was in, I cut off the remainder and it's been holding air fine since. Anyone know how to get it to go in easier next time? Was wondering if the glue was stopping it.

More glue is better - it's just a bear of a job dude - same with me last night - all my might - had to keep on keepin on until it finally gave & went in - used the rubber cement liberally - parked it with the plug @ 6:00 o'clock position to let the cement settle in the hole - all good

Look up rexpair…this works for those tiny holes which by the way is 99% of the time. Add them to your arsenal. I used it today for the first time and a child could do it. The screw barely penetrated into the tire. I actually screwed the reamer in and created the hole then reamed it. So what I’m saying is that the hole was the size of a pin hole and I repaired it with 1 hand easily. Trying that with a normal 6mm reamer is quite the task and then the large needle with plug inserted is almost impossible on tiny holes. Also add nealy plug kit, and an ARB kit and you will have all situations covered. Different kits for different punctures.

If let out about half the air the plug will go in easier. Letting out all the air makes it harder to get the plug in. When you put in the plug don't push it all the way in. Only push it in the length of what you pulled out. If it's aong nail that goes all the way through, you need a patch.
