Real Trijicon RMR vs a Very Good Fake

I recently bought a real Trijicon RM06 from a buddy and was looking for a second one at a good price. This led me to eBay where I found one I offered 420$ on; He accepted and this is what I received. Buyer beware.

Serial number on the box didn’t match with the optic serial number either.

Trijicon includes a Bible verse that references light on pretty much all of their optics. ACOG's have John 8:12, Dual Illuminated RMR's have 1Thessalonians 5:5, the RMR you have is 2Peter 1:19 That's what those mean, those aren't like model numbers that go along with RM0X. Great awareness though on the fake, and for bringing it to others' attention!

@@luminate4419 Yeah, it's pretty awesome and rare to see these days. That was the one of the main reasons I chose an RMR over any other red dot or reflex sight available. I can support what they're out here doing!

I've seen it on my two acogs but never looked into it I've been a follower of christ for a long time and kinda fell off the way I collect optics and have been getting into more acogs I will never touch an optic outside of trijicon again

2PE 1:19 is a verses from the Bible (2 Peter 1:19), not a serial number. Trijicon puts discreet Bible passages on most of there optics.

The moment the video started playing I knew which was real and which was fake. The real RMR has black adjuster screws. But they are damn close that's for sure!

I know it's not a test I just was able to pick it out quickly because I am very familiar with my RMR. I don't have a problem with clones existing for their intended purpose which was for airsoft. The problem is unsavory characters buy them and then pass them off as real then people get taken. That's the downside of the whole clone optic market. And they keep getting better at making these, I remember years ago they didn't have working light pipes in the ACOG's and now they do. It won't be long before they start putting tritium vials in them too. Sorry you got taken on this one and it *IS* a really helpful video! The adjustment screws aren't the give away. My daughters got an airsoft G19 with a replica RMO6 RMR and it's adjustment screws are blacked out. It audibly clicks with the adjustments too.

Personally I have not shot with a fake one mounted, but I can promise you that it will not hold zero on anything over a .22LR and even then I still would not recommend it.

80% of stuff comes from China today, I phones, and God knows what else. I think you are bit unreasonable to say everything you seem to touch is shit or crap. bit much even saying kind like screws and mounts are also shit as well. The RMR is not as good as the real deal, and if it sold as that you have a very fair point, you should get the real deal. But come on man, there is a MASSIVE difference in price going on here. what do you expect. 35$ against 650$ there is a diffidence. LAMBO is a car, so is a ford, just cos some smuck sticks a Lambo badge on the back of a ford, don't make it a Lambo, but it's still a car . Again big difference between 18,000$, 450,000 $. But for 35$ the little RMR gets close to the real thing, so close that I argue where has the other 620$ ish been spent, cos I can't see it! I can see maybe 50 or 60$ short in better components and build quality but. 620$ NA, sorry. Who's been ripped off here. ???/
